I have just bought a couple of 5245's and tested them. They whistle very quietly all of the time, even when at idle. I've never used a digital servo before. I'm not really concerned and just wanted to check that they normally do that.
Also, I bought them to use as aileron servos on a 3d/pattern model, running a YS63 with an all up weight of 4.5lbs. Do you think they will be suitable for the elevator and rudder too? Both need to have huge movements. The spec seems to be more than enough and I could save another few ounces. I guess it is the diminutive size of them that makes me worry.
