I am a beginner looking for an electric mini heli , that can be flown indoors and is easy to fly ,hover, turn, forward , backward and is very stable. I have seen the eflite blade CX fly and I was very impressed. I now have the understanding that only co-axial helis have this kind of stability and control. I have a few questions :

- Compared to other co-axial rotor heli's, is blade CX the best choice with respect to value for $?

- Is there a mini electric heli without the co-axial blades(but with tail rotor blade), that is easy and very stable as the CX? I would rather have the tail rotor type- thats why!

- Is blade CP less stable than CX for indoors? Is CP harder to fly/hover etc?

- Where can I get the best price for blade CX?

Thanks in advance!

the BCP is nothing like the BCX other than the control surfaces up down/left right/yaw. BCX auto centers back into hover when you left go of the controls, the BCP doesnt and will keep going as if it were in FastForwardFlight into the floor if you dont manage it. having a 'semi-real tail rotor' on the BCP will force u to fly the heli and the tail simultaneously. the throtle/collective stick on a CP works much more rapidly - think of it as dropping/riding the clutch to go up because the headspeed is already high rpm.

i would not fly a CP heli indoors unless you have a large area.

747,

Welcome to the painfully expensive world of Electric Heli's!!

This is very subjective and you will get 1000 different answers and 1000 wrong ones from other points of view. Best to read theses threads and make a decision based on others experiences, not opinions.

This is another tough question. It all depends on your skill level. As you are a beginner, you might find that the CX is even unstable. If you catch on right away, than the CP (or other Collective Pitch heli's) will be stable

This one is easy... The Blade CP is NOT a beginner heli. However, as I have done, you can learn on this bird. You have to go into it knowing that you will crash. You will spend lots of money and you will need time to get better. If you think you are going to take the thing out of the box and start doing rolls and loops, well, your in for a huge disappointment. It took me four months of flying almost every day to learn to hover and do some basic forward flight without crashing.

Well, the price fix is in. It seems most all places are selling the CX and the CP for the same price as their competitors. There's not much dealing to be found anywhere. So, it really doesn't matter where you get it from. Unless you buy used. Then you don't know what you are getting as someone else in this forum found out just the other day.
