it sounds like your clutch slice spring is broken. I had the same problem, replaced it and now all is fine. get it from chubbysdad for less than $5 and his shipping is super quick!

Good chance the gears are stripped. Flip it over and look up from the bottom. There is a hole that you can see to gears through , if one or both is stripped thats the problem

Often times the gears do strip.

We do have them in stock and www.RedcatRacingParts.com when you are in need.

Gear grease can help prevent stripping gears.

Do you still have your manual? If so, there's a parts explored view in the back that should be fairly easy to navigate.

If not, I can surely help you out. Just shoot me an email at stormy@hildcycles.com

I took mine apart to check the whole car for loose parts. I'm a little tired of this thing falling apart. I've got that small screw loctite and will be quite liberal with it. The clutch housing on mine is a total POS . There is no way to make mine sit straight so the gears mesh properly with out just jambing them together. The tips of the gears are the only thing touching and the clutch housing is about worn out from the plastic wearing on it. I also looked at the two speed , the little weight that comes out to hit second seems stuck. No matter what you do it does not move. If I can I might try to put the Volcano gears in mine then go with the bugger tires. If not , I'll go single speed from the XL, there is no way this will hold up the way the parts are made.

How exactly do u change the two speed to the one speed. What are all the parts required to convert the two speed to the one speed.
