Trying to get a good census on how everyone else transports their fleet to-and-from the field.

I got me a nice ford explorer. Seats fold down to a nice big area in the back. Fit's my 1/4 scale gasser with plenty of room to spare.

Your pic looks about like how I do mine most of the time. I have a crew cab, so I can put one in the back seat with the wings off, and the rest I arrange in the bed. But I can't take my bipe and my triplane together because I don't take the wings off either one--too much hassle. On days when weather is perfect and I want to take them all, or if I go to a fly-in, this is how I do it:

Good to see some replies. I leave the Cub put together, the P-51 Voodoo I take the wing off and stash as best as possible, I also have a Combat Corsair but she rides shot gun, just fits nicely in the front seat. Everyonce in awhile I can steal the wife Expedition, got stuck in the mud last time so I'm kind of fired for now, but this is my fleet run transporter.

It's amazing how many solutions are over there for taking the plane to the field... I take my F3A on the roof of the car (a peugeot 206) so I also have enough space for the barbacue's equipment, wife, daugther, dog, a couple of beers and cokes, toys for my girl and all the necesary stuff for a happy sunday.
Unfortunately (for my wife) there is not enough space for my mother-in-law... JA!!

I have a Nissan Frontier with a topper on it. Here's what I look like loaded up and ready to go. Ignore all of the wires. I load up the night before flying and I charge my planes in the truck.

Very nice, my wife thought that it was sketchy for me to drive around without a topper and she also thaought that I was always taking too much stuff. Wait until i show her your set-up, that should get her off my back, ha-ha.

I use a Ford Explorer. When I transport a long single wing like the SpaceWalker, I use bungie cords and hang it on the ceiling

I'm in a Nissan truck with a topper. I only take 1 or 2 planes to the field with me. I only live about 5 or 6 miles from the field, takes 10 minutes to get there.

If your traveling with an open truck bed, and your worried about stuff flying out while your going down the road, get a Spider Web bungee for your truck.

This used to be my favorite, untill I got the topper:

I use a 2002 AWD Cadillac Escalade, and 20 foot x 8 1/2 foot trailer.
I used to have a 12 foot trailer, but outgrew it in two years. The new one is a 20 foot car hauler, with enough room to last me forever....I hope.
It has an all white vinyl interior, and I installed a 8 foot workbench across the front, and two 8 x 8 foot shelves to haul models in one piece. No need to take the wings off the KingCat or the Ultra Bandit (when it arrives). I should be able to haul those two assembled plus my Super Bandit and BVM/Tam's FA-18F unassembled.
The trailer set me back $6500.00 new this January.

The shelves are laminates of blue styrofoam insulation board, 2" thick, 4 x 8 feet, with 1/8" hardboard laminated to the top and bottom. They sit on a 2" x 4" platform on vertical "E-Track" and "E-Track cups". The pieces of vertical E-Track are bolted to a 3/4 thick MDO plate, that is screwed to the steel tubing trailer sidewall framework. These plates are in turn covered with white vinyl shelfpaper to match the trailer interior walls.
It made a very stong installation, as each shelf will easily support my 235 lbs.
