Well, I just got back from the Toledo show. Everything was great except for 1 thing. The Goldberg Products booth and especially the reps. I kindly asked them why the Stinson was so tail heavy. They replied with "It's not tail heavy" So I asked them, "Don't you ever read stuff on RCU or listen to customer comments", they replied" No, Why should we listen to comments or read stuff on RCU, We don't have time. We take too many calls and were just too busy" By this time, I was getting really upset. I told them I had an OS 120 4 stroke, a 6 volt, 3300 Mah C cell pack and an EDR 103 with battery stuffed in the nose and I moved the servos from the tail into the cockpit and it's still tail heavy. They proceded to tell me this is not possible and if I didn't like it to "sell the airplane".

I had to walk away, but my last comments were something like I'll never buy another Goldberg product again. They didn't care they lost a customer.

So much for listening to a customer, unfortunately for them, without customers, they are nothing more than another model airplane company that couldn't make it.

Everyone I know will know how the reps treated me and if I can help it, they won't buy a Goldberg product again!

I am extremely upset, and no longer a CGP products customer. There are too many vendors available to put up with the attitude I received at Toledo.

They just dont like "Constructive Critisism" I talked to them too, and to be honest, I have almost all of their planes. I really like the looks, but the cost of the ARF's and Parts is ridiculous! I had to order a part for a customer at our local hobby shop.....$46.00 for an Pitts Monster Canopy is outrageous! The new 67" Edge 540 flies great, but at $400.00.....many other nice looking, and flying planes out there.....

Hehe, I found this is typical with most manufacturers, they just want to unload their wares and could really care less about repeat biz. This is where all of them have totally lost me and why I now only build from scratch. Look forward, in the near future of having an American based manufacturer to rely upon that actually does have a clue about customer service and actually reads what is posted here at the RCU and other forums, this is just gold people.

Attached is my own creation based upon a Goldberg design, not too bad for just a bit over a weeks worth of work, I didn't have any plans, just the original ARF assembled next to it in order to take some rough measurements.

If you still need the canopy for the Monster Pitts, let me know. Mine went in and didn't want do the extensive repair for the fuse, GB wants as much for the fuse and cowl that I could buy a new ARF cheaper.

Well, I have only purchased one GB kit ( very nice , Sr Falcon ) and that was years ago. I have been looking with great interest at the GB Decathlon but I have heard so many customer complaints for the past year or so that I am no longer interested in their products. Great Planes (among others) have been just fine for me. Thanks for the information.
