ORIGINAL: Jascat100 Michel. How does the F18F balance. Did you have to add lead in the nose? I will be fitting 2 X 5 cell RX batteries & the cockpit kit. I just want to know so I can keep as much equipment forward if necessary. I am fitting the Simjet Nexus so that should make it move. At the moment I am fitting the tailpipe which is slightly to narrow at the rear. The F18 sits nose below the level. How much did you raise the nose by? Best regards Jim Hi Jim, this is a bit older post as the F-18 had been flying for about 3 months know... I did had to add some lead to the nose, even though I had my batteries just in front of the nose servo. About the nose below level, it will takeoff this way, no problem. If you want get the nose higher by using some spacers in the struts or retracts, anything more than a 0 degre angle will help. As a tip, use more flap than recomended for takeoff, this will help on rotations. Also let the hornet run as much as you can. Hope this helps... Michel
