Hi Bob,

I purchased three older Jetts from a friend that had them squirreled away. Never flown, with various bits and pieces packed with each engine. The first one I'm going to try is a .46 Sport Jett with a Turbo Jett in cowl muffler. In the box were both a paper muffler gasket and a brass muffler gasket/shim. Would I use one, both or no gasket with the Turbo Jett?

Thanks, Rich

Hi Rich !

Thanks for writing.

Jett does not use or provide paper gaskets. That may have come from elsewhere.

The brass metal gasket should be used if you have it.

The SJ-46 and turbo are a real nice combination. Ive been flying that (one of the prototype turbo-jett mufflers actually) for 5 years now in my Mustang

What aircraft do you have in mind for your engine ??

Bob

Hey Bob...I'm side mounting the .46 SJ in a Hangar 9 Aresti. A 1.20 SJ is destined for a Fred Reese 1.20 size Cloud Dancer, but that will have to wait for some space on the work bench. Thanks for the help! Rich
