tweak54321 -> 22E (4/12/2006 9:47:28 PM)

Is there a great deal of difference bettween the two 22E models.I live at 8,000 feet will this affect my flight?
Also what is the usuel run time for a li-poly. Ive herd that this heli can do 3D flight..What exaactly does this mean+can it go inverted?

Thanx

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/12/2006 10:58:23 PM)

the v2 heli has a bell-hiller head which allow for quicker response of heli.

don't know, but I suspect it can reduce performance. possible could be overcome by operating the heli with a higher head speed and pitch (will deplete batt faster).

don't know..... don't have a li-poly, but it does vary with the rating of the batt.. probably 20-30 minutes.

3d = inverted flight capability

thanx for getting back to me on this
When you say v2 does that mean the one with tinted plastic or not.
can this heli do inverted flight???what model is better?
how high can the heli go and last are the more expensive dragonfly's like the 36 really that much better?
thank you so much for your time i really apreciate it

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/13/2006 6:45:17 AM)

version 2 comes with the blue aluminum t-shape holder.

this heli can do inverted, per the manual, I haven't tried it nor have I heard of anyone in this forum trying it.

as far as the higher model numbers being better I would imagine they are, but I haven't done any research on them, try the forum for that specific heli and there. 22e was in my budget and it had a lot to offer for the money. if you're looking to spend more money on a start up heli the Blade CP might also be nice, but you do have to buy a mod kit seperately to make it go inverted (i think it's just symmetrical blades that make the difference).

tweak54321 -> RE: 22E (4/13/2006 5:41:30 PM)

thank you very much..I think i'm gonna go with 22E v1 just because it has a lot of good deals on accories.Thank you

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/13/2006 6:25:43 PM)

hmmm i'd say v2 because of the aluminum t-shape holder and bell-hiller head. but if you can get v1 cheap enough and buy the aluminum upgrade and bell-hiller cheaper then you can the v2 then buy all means. either way... have fun!!!

ya i just cant figure it out. it is relly bugging me!!!but its ok...Any way do you like your 22e.All i whant is the 22E with a li po batt and charger + training kit.There are many places to get a training kit but cant seem to find the lipo with charger for under 40$ except for this place. hobby-estore.com/dragonfly-22e-complete-set-electric-rc-3d-helicopter.html
were did you get your heli and also do you know were i can get a li po + charger that fits to the 22E?

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/14/2006 2:25:39 AM)

I've been trying to find out about lipo's myself. you should do a search in this forum, some people have said that their 22e's came with lipo/charger and maybe you can get it from there. check the 22e let's talk thread

my 22e came from here http://www.hobby4less.com/prod_heli_df22e.htm , but I would now recommend this place rc and me , very easy person to deal with and Tim will take the time to talk to you about stuff.

As far as liking it, yes, I do like it. I bought it with the hopes of getting a decent starter heli with 3d capabilities and not too high a price, and I got exactly that. Give yourself time to learn/practice and don't be too surprised when your first crash happens.

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/14/2006 2:31:45 AM)

btw, keep in mind the following - the walkera 22ev2 is the SAME EXACT heli as this vnr3d except for all the cosmetic stuff and the electrics I believe. So, when you do a search for parts keep the vnr3d in mind, though the price might be a little higher (for whatever reason).

but again... rcandme.com is a great source.

tweak54321 -> RE: 22E (4/14/2006 5:22:05 AM)

i found a pretty dam good deal here...but the shipping is insane http://rc-expert.com/product-package.php?pid=263

krisma -> RE: 22E (4/14/2006 3:41:10 PM)

$40 bucks sounds like a lot but I don't think it's too much more than what I paid. I think it was like 25-30. the package does seem nice though, camera, battery and everything.

looks like rc-expert is in hong kong... might a little bit to get to you

just make sure you don't use the camera until you hover properly

tweak54321 -> RE: 22E (4/14/2006 6:49:08 PM)

ya i dont plan on using the cam for while

consultjdm -> RE: 22E (4/25/2006 11:44:16 PM)

I bought that package.
