Mike I have 6 5245 servos I want to use with a Futaba PCM reciever. I bought these in the spring-summer ? of 2005. There is no version # on the servo nor on the box. No date codes or identifiers other than a ce on the bottom of the case. When cycled using the PCM reciever all seme to function properly except for distinct steps during stick motion.

How do I tell the version#? Is there a functional test?? What is the presentation of the incompatability?

The servos are more likely than not revision v1.03 digitals. Early release v1.04 revision servos suffer a known compatibility issue realized when two more servos a driven from a wye connector and a single channel of a Futaba PCM RX. The servos will not react and or function in this circumstance. A free upgrade is offered by Hitec Service which eliminates this short-coming.

As noted this problem is only relaized with Futaba PCM RX's... Be sure and mention the need to utilize your servos with Futaba PCM with your return and contact info.
