i just got my truc k2 days ago and it did the same thing, so heres what i did. I took out the glo plug and yanked on the pull start a bunc h of times and u can watc hthe piston go up and down so you know it works, but it feels liek it doesnt. then put the plug bac kin and make sure its primed and you have a good plug and ignitor. And try it again. When i did this the volcano fired right up for me. WHen you have th glo plug out it should feel like there barely any compression. Lemme kno if this helps Dan

if it feels like there's no pressure, try priming the engine a little. Add a drop or two of fuel right into the carb and made sure the fuel line is full of gas. It should start right up.

when i do that know it kinda seems harder to pull when i used to take off the plow plug it used to be easy to pull the string when the glow plug was off.know it seems like its kinda hard to pull when its off.and if i pull it hard when the glow plug is off it does the same thing it seems like its not getting pressure it still skips when the glow plug is off.

If it seems too hard then you're engine may be flooded. If that's the case you'll want to take your glow plug out and drain some of the fuel from the engine and try again.

Adrian,

Your one way bearing is bad or you put it in backwards...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the markings on the bearing go in facing the engine.

Mark

When you purchase a pull start it does not come with one. You have to use your original on the Nitro.

hey kosty, the same thing happend to me just the other day, if you want to order them from redcat, the item number is: 02094, but i found the same screw at the hardware store for 46 cents a peice, plus i didn't have to wait , and be sure you use some threadlock to keep them from falling out again

Usually there are boxes of diffent lengths of screw, with the same thread pattern. Find a thread that will fit the exhaust, and is also 1-1/4" long. And the screw dont screw into the engine, they're supposed to slide right through, and connect to the exhaust.
