I have a new Volcano SV Pro, and T-Maxx 2.5R. ( Newbie to Nitro )What transmiter should I invest in ? I want a durable quality unit. That I can use with both truck's. I don't want to wish I had bought something different a couple weeks down the road! So to speak. I think i need to change recievers also? But I can use original servo's for now. Right? Any thoughts on this appreciated? Oh how does a spectum transmiter work, and are they worth the $?

not that peace. the one that goes in between the engine and the exhaust connector its a little peace it helps so that when you are running it no oil will be able to leak out.

kosty83, if you need the gasket between there, just go to your local auto parts and buy a small sheet of gasket material and cut a few out. You can also use a gasket from an HPI motor but I don't know the part number. If you search around, you'll find a post from someone that used it. Redcat does not sell the gasket.

you either have to adjust your radio trim or idle adjustment screw or your servo or transmitter or radio has went bad, the redcat radio system is know to go bad, i had 2 go bad, if you catch it in 30 days they will replace it but your better off getting a futabe for like $60.

How many tanks have you ran through so far? When it revs up like that and stalls, do you have to prime it to start it again? Check your fuel line, you might have a hole.

close the hsn then turn counterclockwise 2 1/2 turns, make the low speed needle even with the collar around the set screw. put your radio on and the car on, take off the air cleaner and see if there is a 1mm opening, if its less, turn the idle set screw clockwise until there is a 1mm opening. this should get you started. Is is broken in, if not drive it like this before you start to tune it.

lsn-ccw richens and cw leans
hsn-cw leans and ccw richens
idle-cw opens and ccw closes

Set air gap of throttle 1.5 mm,(idle screw), HSN Cw til it bottoms out then 3 1/2 turn CCW. LSN Flush with the throttle housing + 1 turn cw. Try to start, will be runnin really rich, if it starts. Turn down idle speed, then adjust HSN cw til you have good acceleration to idle. if your idle speed rises, turn it down. May have to do a couple times. Last adjustment LSN, turn cw slowly til idle speed starts to rise. when it rises you're running lean, turn it CCW till idle speed just drops. Blip the throttle you should be acceleration ok with some smoke coming from the muffler.Lean the HSN 1/8 turn CW till your satisfied.

Anyone know of an alternate one-way bearing for a Volcano SV Pro (.18 Engine)? One that I might be able to find at a LHS? I put a shaft start adapter on my engine (after my pull start rope wore out), and my one-way bearing seems to be wearing out.

TIA

And another thing When we first got out there (Again the truck was used) we let it idle for alittle bit to warm it up and then it stopped we notice that this spring looking thing was comeing out of the clutch bell.... ??? Do you guys know what this is... ??? LOl anywazs Lol we ripped it out and it started right back up and keeped on driveing it like for another 30min.. .Lol Can you tell me what that might be??? And the part number possible??? Explane.... Please...
