As we all know, tripods do a great job. For the life of me though, I was never mor convinced at just how much more sharp thay can make your image. ESPECIALLY, here in the digital world. Since all lines are composed of a series of staggered pixels, the jagged lines get very distasteful. At the higher speeds, sure, we're OK! However, in the waneing hours of daylight, you're bound to be useing a slower shutter speed. Give this a try. HANDHOLD a shot set at 1/100 sec. Then shoot the same thing with a pod. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! For years, the mfg of film would tell us to use the ASA of the film as the shutter speed set at ƒ/16 for a bright day. OK, sounds great. and we did! TRUST the old man here, just once. and do it with a tripod. I was sold! I shot for litterally decades -- handheld. Digital came along and changed - no -- helped me to even get better. for what its worth>>>> Have a great day guys marwen
