Didn't feel like running the Wild Willy 2 nor TLT-1 as they are both waiting for some drivetrain upgrade.. (both are still functional / driveable.. but just thought I'd bust out the good ol' Box for a change..) You want maintenance free with no wear and tear parts?! This is the one you need!!

While not as sophisticated as the other 2, this is old school Tamiya at its best.. lots of fun.. even with just the 540 silver can driven by GP3300 battery... (gonna put a Sphere/Neo 1 star on it somedays.. It shall be done!)

Kick up some sand here!

Believe it or not, it did not flip... it landed on the tires... (Actually, it never flipped while all these pictures were taken!! Maybe 5 oil shocks do work?!)

This is a good shot!

Another good one!

This is not bad either! (One hand driving, that's the best I can do! :P)

Nope, it didn't crash..

Last one...

Hope you all like it!

Ha ha, thanks!! It is pretty cheap.. $84 or something from Tower.. and that's include a ESC! (Granted, a basic ESC, but still, a good deal!!) I'd put in bearing duing the build, though!! I also got oil shocks and some other mods in it, but you don't have to.. it will be just as fun!

I highly recommend it!

I always wanted one of these (well, a midnight pumpkin), but then I read something about the pinion gear being rubbish and not being upgradeable. I was wondering if anyone could clarify that. By the way, great pictures!

Thanks for the comment!

Hmm.. with the design of the motor mount, you can't really change pinion size.. (unless you start cutting a slot on the tranny to allow some movement on the motor..) However, I don't know if the gear itself is bad.. It looks pretty strong to me.. It is unlikely that you will damage the pinion gear.. (made of metal, very small diameter, so it is pretty tough)

I think if you are trying to modify it so it will win races then it is probably not for you.. Otherwise, it is very durable.. very tough...
