Looking for real-life experiences with the ZDZ 80

Info on:
1. Reliability
2. Starting
3. Power

Especially in a hover situation. Any comparisons to 3W?

Thanks,
Joe

No comaprison to a 3W but I have the ZDZ 80 in my H9 Cap.

Easy to start.
Runs very strong with only 2.5 gallong through it.
Very smooth for a big single.
Pretty linear throttle response.

This motor hovers my Cap (23.5#'s) at about 1/3 throttle.

So far I have zero complaints with it.

Wayne,

Thanks to your response! That zdz motor looks like it is a full pound lighter than the 3W. I am definitely leaning that direction.

BTW, what motor do you have in your 29% edge?

The Edge has a BME 44 in it.

It lives at another home now though..... I sold it to get the 33% Cap.
