You know what sucks about DHL, everything that anyone ships has to be signed for. Sometimes it puts me back a day in my computer business. I never order ANYTHING if someone says they ship DHL!

If I have to drop ship an order I redcat uses dhl, but most of mine are usps now that I have all parts in stock. There are some rare occasions though that something runs out.

Sorry - you must not be familiar with how the shipping industry works. All items are loaded and shipped to a hub where they are carefully sorted and shipped. The process will move over 2 million packages through a single hub each day. Most of the equipment is automatic. If a sender incorrectly places any information on the waybill (waybills are either hand written to produce a label or others refer to waybills as the label itself) this will also delay and package.

You may find it very interesting (as this is site contains people of similar interests) to watch a link that shows the tracking of the FedEx, DHL or UPS planes in the evening. (looks like a radar type of display showing all the planes and their traffic patterns on a given evening through the time expedited view) On any given evening, there are thousands of planes in the air delivering packages to their central hubs. Many of the FedEx packages travel through their main hub in Memphis. (I believe there are approx 3700+ transportation planes moving freight)

The shipping industry is complex, very highly automated and moves 100's of millions of dollars in freight every day. A single package by a single shipper has more likelihood of not meeting the specifications on a label to properly ship the package. Handwritten waybills are not the best way. Go to each shipper's website and create a 'web shipment' which will produce the properly formatted label on your own printer.

Doesn't mean that your package will not go through a main hub - just means that it will leave that same evening - many times re-loaded in less than 2 hours - and be on it's way to the next point of contact for that shipper. Mislabeled, smeared or damaged labels will cause delays.

Good luck! I find that I have the best service with DHL, followed by Priority Express Mail. Sorry your experience hasn't been the same.

You forgot to mention the machine in the hub at DHL that punches nice holes in the sides of Volcano STX boxes getting shipped to NJ. I rank it USPS. UPS, Fed Ex, driving it there myself, paying a friend, carrier pidgeon, DHL. just my opinion.

It's crazy that so many have had problems with DHL. I've had nothing but incredible experiences with them. Twice I've ordered from Arizona and they got it to me in Ohio in three days once and two days the other time. The other big three couriers have never been that fast for me. That stinks that everyone else seems to have trouble.

It took over 5 days to get my friggin volcano lol. AZ to saint louis, MO and saint louis is a hub for DHL. I buy stuff from chicago all the time from tigerdirect.com and they use UPS. UPS always says est. time in 3 days but it comes overnight-2days doesn't even take 3 days!! UPS has been the best shipping for me and next in line is fed ex. DHL is by far the worst ever and there tracking sucks too. It took 3 days where my package was still in a hub, where as UPS updates 24/7 where your package is and UPS works 24/7. I have had packages on the truck at 4am and go out out 11pm. So if anyone likes DHL thats really surprising because they are union lazy bums that only work 9-5 then stop.

the funny thing is that if you search for the tracking # it still shows departing origin and arrival date the 12th of july , they(dhl) however admitted the package was lost , redcat racing did step up and has already shipped me another package with dhl . i know it's not redcats' fault buy they should consider if it's worth it for them to continue using dhl.
