I purchased the Katana RTF last week. It came in today and i had no problems putting it together. When i hooked up the battery to the speed control, I did as the instructions said and had the throttle down in the idle position. After the beeping stops, when i advance the throttle, it will pick up speed and then shut off. It wont go above half throttle before cutting off. Is this something i did? Is there something i can do to fix it? This is my first electric plane... so all this is new to me.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Not trying to be a smart ass, but did you charge the battery? Sounds like the LVC kicking in and powering down the motor. If the battery is charged, try checking the cut-off level on the ESC (make sure it's set to the cell count you're using).

yeah, the battery is fully charged. I didnt see any switch on the speed control to adjust. It is kind of a plug and play setup with this RTF

throttle stick down, plug battery to ESC, throttle all the way to full and down again.
than start open throttle easy again, see what happend. that should set off to normal position the speed controller.

I had the same problem with one of my planes. It was a bad esc. I replaced that and it took right off.

Good Luck
