Maybe your motor needs cleaning? Is it one of those that you can take apart? If not maybe spraying some motor cleaner through it might free it up. I got a pebble stuck in my motor one had to take it apart to get it out.

again thank you for the reply, the motor is brand new just been used properly twice

tried spraying some gt85 into it around the ends where the shaft comes thru, still the same

also, im using 24t pinion and 58t spur gear, if i changed the 24 to a 25t pinion would there be much difference in acceleration / top speed or is it not worth bothering with ?

matt

If you change to a 25 your acceleration will be alittle slower but more top speed when you used the cleaner did anything come out of it? Was the liquid clear when it came out?

No it will go up, come on guys this is an R/C forum. Higher tooth pinion = higher top end ALWAYS.

any noises or anything.. when u spin it does it shifting as it rotates. Some motors exhibit this.. its part of the magnet's strength and various other components. the magnets are so strong that its attracted the armature with considerable force and causes that "juddery" feeling you get when you spin your motor
