Just killed me Shock Flyer and am planning to build a new one from plans on the internet. I've been looking at the foamy factory plans. I cant make up my mind between the mini 3dx and Echelon Bipe. i was wondering if anybody has had any experiance with either of these planes.

Cheers

I've built both and if you want something that flys similar to your shocky,go for the mini 3dx- I used a 2208/34 and 2cell setup-with a 10x4.7 this will fly outdoors in calm conditions- hover well easy and can do all the usual 3d stuff- the bipe is also good but because of the wingloading is'nt as nice as the 3dx-saying that,if you keep it light it will do the business-blenders and torque rolls especially good!!!!- You can use a 3cell setup on the 3dx but you will have to watch out for tail twist-use 3mm depron throughout and whats left of your shocky(carbon rods, linkages, etc.

Go with the Mini 3DX. Echelon plans are still beta and I haven't had time to sort a few things out on it. The mini 3DX rocks and is still one of my all time favorites...

I have my free foamy plans here and I think you will find them very easy to build and among the best flying. I offer the Cap, Yak54, Extra 330 and Edge 540 for free download.

I made the Mini 3DX out of blue fanfold foam and it's very durable. It flies very good and is very easy to hover. I use a CustomCDR double and 3 cell 740 lipo.

Gus155, I can print the files, I was wondering how to post them here so anyone could download them right from here. When I go to the upload section it only takes .gif, .jpg, .tif etc picture type files.
Jeff
