My buddy says that's the gear that stripped out on me...the one that meshes with the clutch bell or bell housing or whatever in the heck it's called???? Is that the spur gear??? Sorry for sounding like an idiot....I said I was a mechanic. BUT....I NEVER said I was the BEST mechanic. Anyway, as usual Redcat is outta stock, Top Speed Toys outta stock, didn't see it listed on the Clairmont site(CHUBBY'SDAD),checked EBAY under HIMOTO parts.....part was not listed. Any other places I can check or am I just gonna have to wait it out? Thanks.

IS this a single speed? If yes got to the LHS and get an HPI 42 tooth gear, dremel off the nub and install.

If it's the single speed, you can also use 08013 "Diffirential gear wheel set"
It's a little more money though. Maybe best to go with Bills idea.

It would be worth buying them or contacting Alex the owner.

I was looking at that aussie guys site and the only difference between his upgraded tranny and the regular one is that he uses a different slipper clutch. All that does is engage the gears better, it's not going to help with the gear quality. I could be wrong though. Im waiting on a response from crash, the one who first posted about it.

Could also be things like a better clutch spring. Maybe they would consider that a modification?

Thanks for the replies guys.....yeah it's a 1 speed. I guess I'ma have to break it down and make for sure which gears are stripped cause now I'm not even sure. I'll probably just buy all the gears cause I'm gonna need them eventually more than likely.

Which 1/10th scale car and do you have a steel clutch bell or aluminum one. If you have an aluminum clutch bell I would upgrade it to Steel.

i am sorry, i just realized that you said a 35t gear, its for the truck, the 1/10 truck. for now they dont make any other gear but plastic. you may want to upgrade your clutch bell to stop this problem, once i did, i had no more problems with stipping gears. here's a couple of links for you:

a whole differnt setup that will increase take off and top end and have less gears to strip: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/the-226/clutchbell-and-diff-kit/Detail
