Anyone have anything good, bad or indifferent to say about the Airfoil Aviation Powered Parachutes? I'm thinking about one of the 1/3 scale machines.

Having seen somoe small ones, I can say they are simple to use, but don't do a whole lot. It's kind of like flying a kite that doesn't sit in one place. Good time killer and can be very good in tight places.

I think they are built quite well. I have the 1/4 scale, and it flies so good, we lost it while flying before a storm when the winds picked up to about 25mph suddenly. You have to play with the line lengths, and not over power it to get it to fly correct, mine took off with full throttle, and you emeditaly went to 1/2 throttle as soon as the tires broke ground or it would climb and stall. Oh one last thing, a hunter found it like 1 1/2 years later 3 miles from the flying field, and it was in one piece chute and all and the engine was fine. The only damage to it was the shroud, and faded chute. I love my JR radios since the reciever is now in my fun fly plane and works fine. I am looking to sell it since I have moved on to other planes. Yes I would recommend the company, I think they have a good product.
