Steve,

I'm so sorry, man...

But from the pics it's clear that it's not too hard to fix it... Come on! Don't give up on it!

The wings have minimal damage, but the body is shattered back to the canapy not reparable. I will not be rebuilding the plane... Look like I'm going to switch to 2.4G radio before any more planes go into the pipe.

Had the same problem myself today. My Giant Stick went in today due to a radio problem. I was at a fly-in and several planes were lost because of some type of interference. This was not a normal radio "hit". This was a signal that would completely take over an airplane in one particular area of the field. About seven planes went down in the same area. There were no planes lost on 2.4GHz.

Anyone know where I can get a right wing for a GP Giant Stick? My left wing is fine but I need a right wing and stab.

PS: In case you decide not to, I'll buy your landing gear...

Steve,

Sorry about your GSS, I haven't been able to work on mine because of health, but will post more pictures of it soon. Your GSS looks like it is repairable, keep us posted.

Steve,

Sorry to hear the bad news but like Flavio said, I will also bid on your gear! And the shipping to me is cheaper than shipping to Brazil, but my US dollars are worth less...

Just buy a new Fuselage and have her back in the air next week.

Hahahahahahaha... Good one! It's worthing less, but not for long. American economy is huge and foracious. It will take this minor flaw very rapidly.

Bad news for you is that I'm in US right now, in Lakeland, Florida, for the Top Gun!!! It starts on the 23rd and I'm very excited about it! So, the shipping will be the same!

Anyway, for what it's worth, the plane is great and I really think Steve should build another one, with new fuselage. I love this airplane so much I'm buildng another one to fly with my son together.

Regarding radio interference, as I said, it's very easy to solve all the problems by building an aluminum wall as I said on previous posts. It's necessary to ground it, though. It could be done on any metal part on the engine. I had major interference and it solved totally the problem, using PCM!!! If anybody asks, when I get back home next week, I can post some pics of what I did.

The plane is not even cold yet... and you vultures want her parts! [)] Sorry to say the gears did take a lot of damage and not worth the repair. BTW you guys talked me in to it... I just ordered a new fuselage.

Sorry about your GSS Steve! It looked worth saving, I'm glad you're going for it. My build is coming along well, waiting on a muffler so I can tie up the front end and getting everything padded and tied down in the fuselage. I think I'm going to tint the canopy versus going the pilot route. Can't wait to get her up, spring has sprung in Georgia and the weather is beautiful.

Steve,

I was able to work on my GSS again. Here's some pictures of the mounting of the Fuji BT34 EI engine & cowl. Still have to cut out the vent hole and muffler hole. Glad you decided to rebuild your GSS.
