I was putting my the control horns on the horizontal stab last night and after i was done I noticed I had them in slightly different postions on the elevators should i take one off fill the holes with thick ca and then put it in the same spot as the other one?
JR, If you install the elevator servos and control arms, make up your two pushrods (the same), attach the pushrods to the servo arms AND elevator control horns, clamp the elevator(s) dead flat to the stabilizer...you can get a better view of where to position the elevator control horns for symmetry. Just a thought.

Hi,
I check this thread frequently, there hasn't been much lately, I guess everyone is out flying their GSS. I am still working on mine, although I haven't posted for awhile. My GSS is almost finished, so here are some pictures of the ignition module, receiver module, Hanger 9 tail wheel, and carbon fiber push rods. I will post more pictures when the plane is finished.

Check out our club site, scroll down to pictures from 7/23. I was flying my GSS last night and finally got it tuned really good-what a gracefull nice looking plane in the air. Takes off and lands so easy. Hve fun with yours.
jben, The rudder pushrod does not run straight/level to the ruder control horn. (probably no big deal for this plane, however, worth mentioning IMO)) If the servo arms of the two servos on that side are too close for comfort, it may be possible to shorten them in length (for clearance), and still obtain full throw @100% rudder ATV's.
Although anxious to get her flying, please take time for balancing. Good Luck!

I prefer longer servo control horns, and if I cut them to fit as in the instructions they are very short. I'm sure that it would be enough if done as per instructions, but as I said I prefer longer control horns.
By the way, has anyone heard from SBrian? I would like to know how he is doing with his GSS rebuild.
James

Hello to all you Super Sport Guys and all is well! FYI. I have rebuilt the SS and it's ready to take to the air... But I'm being held back due to carb problems with the motor. I ordered a new carb and it is currently on backorder. Another week or two and SS will be airborn again.

Sbrian, what carb problems and what engine, I had problems with mine using a Fuji 32. Could never get it tuned, surged in the air. Put a stack on the carb a bingo-fixed.

Sound like the problem I had with my G26... Runs great on the ground but has difficulties in the air! Especially in a dive or loops! The problem is cause by air pressure building up in the Cal... The Fuel pump on the CARB works off ambient pressure and if that pressure is too high then the pump stops working.
There is a small hole on the plate that covers the diaphragm. This allows the ambient pressure in. Carefully remove the plate and solder a small piece of brass tubing to the hole and refasten the plate back on and then attach some fuel line to the brass tube and run this new Ambient Pressure line inside the fuselage.

Yes sir-I see the hole faces directly into the prop wash, that will create a problem. I tryed the Velocity stack first and fixed the problem. The pressure hole on the carb faces the firewall but still can be a problem. Nice plane by the way.
