Thanks for all the info drksky, did you get the cowl on yet?

Nope, it's the least of my worries. I'm not even going to think about it till I get the motor tuned and running consistantly.

Here I am again with another question, do I need a servo for the choke? If not then how does that work.

Most people remove the choke assembly and just choke it with their thumb when starting. Others use a choke servo as another way of shutting the engine down, but with a kill switch, it's a redundancy that's not really needed. I think it's a personal preference.

I've found the 40 to be very easy to start. Two flips with my thump over the velocity stack and the ignition off, turn the ignition on and it starts on the 3rd or 4th flip.

Can anyone with some stick time on this aircraft recommend the settings for Expo and Rudder / Ailerons mix?

I used Futaba S3010's on 6 volts. 90 oz. They recommend 50 oz.

I wondering what remote glow starter everyone is using that is using the os 160 inverted, which one should I buy?

Next is I bought a roll of white monokote and I am wondering when sealing the hinges if you have to do both sides or just one?

just the bottom is fine, long as air doesn't get though. Not using remote starter, made a hamemade one, but only used it a couple days. McDanial RC makes a nice one.

The Giant Super Sportster is just about ready for its maiden flight, just some odds and ends here and there. This is my first large airplane, mostly flown 40-60 sized. Just wondering how this larger planes fly.

Bigger really does better.

You need to watch out for a few things. It will seem to be doing everything slower. It isn't, it just looks that way. There is a tendency to fly it further out. Because it is bigger, it looks like it is closer than it is. Also, those big props have a lot of drag when the engine is at idle (on the landing approach). Be prepared to add some throttle to slow the sink rate.

Oh yeah, and those big props won't cut your finger. They will cut your finger off! Be exaggeratedly safe.

Post some pictures of your Giant Supersportster.
I have the 40 ARF version and is a crowd pleaser.
Especially,
when i am inverted and go to a knife edge 3meters above the ground.......
