Hello,

Physics are important to me and from what my research says FSOne has the best.

Has anyone successfully run FSOne on a iMac using BootCamp & XP?

Why the major price drop? Any officials in this thread know anything?

Interesting. There is also an update v1.1

The v1.1 upgrade includes over 100 minutes of training material and over 40 lessons.

Not that I have come across, but $99 is a lot less than $200. Weird.

I don't know about you guys, but when I read other people's posts in other forums, no one ever speaks of FSOne. It could be a way of capturing market share. Those of us using FSOne like it, so why shouldn't others.

Agreed.

I still have not purchased a sim yet, but hear that the physics of FSOne are great.

I am also considering AFPD or G4.

I do wish that FSOne offered more planes.

Yeah the plane selection they chose is kinda odd to me. The areas that need practice on for most are 3d/IMAC IMO . The planes they have are kinda for beginers and some OLD 3d desighns that dont hold a good knife Edge without trickery, Nothing like true life to me in that respect. So this affects my Rollers ,point rolls, slips, death slides and other things I need to practice.Heck even slow rolls!

Most beginers to the flying scene that get told to get a Sim are often more then not encouraged to get FMS it seems?

I dont see a need to practice the flight pattern

I can understand everyone's interest in different airplanes and since I've never looked at any of the other sims, I don't even know how many they offer.
What I like to focus on is the ability to improve my flying. Either a plane or helicopter. I've been told, but don't really practice, that in order to improve a skill, it doesn't matter so much what plane you fly, but that it is consistency during flying. What I mean by this is doing the same skill over and over so that the fingers build muscle memory and no thought goes into the maneuver.
I hear it's easier said than done
That's my 2cents.

Yeah but if I have to hold full rudder on the sim in a 4point roll I have to practice a couple flights at the field to get back into it on my plane that KE normally.
To fly consistant on the real plane the practice sim plane needs to be right with it.
I still get stuck on my tourqe rolls. It needs more tourqe

I think though after flying another sim,(the really popular one) that the FS1 is a better sim
Especially now at $99 ! Insane!

I totally agree about the plane or heli has to fly correctly to start with. I've had my share of modifying heli's in FSOne and I've posted what I think are good mod's many pages ago to make the TRex 450 fly right. I haven't worked with the airplanes as of yet. I'm too busy flying real models. When I do work on the planes it'll be the tribute since that is similar to a foamy that I have.
