The first picture looks like it was hit with "Paint Balls". You sure somebody didn't shoot paint balls at it again?

Sure was a nice plane you had there.

Sorry for the loss.

Wow, I wish I had that much of my H9 33% Extra 330s left. I could have at least put the tailfeathers on a plaque. I lost the radio just as I was pulling out of a downline. Futaba repaired the radio and said," the deviation was far from center, resulting in the loss of servos." Huh. It range checked with no problem just minutes before. They said that it can just happen, sometimes from age and sometimes from excessive use. Kinda makes you want to take up kite flying. Oh well, doo-doo happens.

Don't you know your not suppose to use them! at least just a season and get a new one?

Are you serous, that was their answer. What the %$#@ is age or exceesive use? I am the proud owner of two 7cap now. My FM is one season old and used the heck out of it the 2.4 is new and never used-thats another issue!

You can add me to the Cap 580 lost list. Mine was on a JR 7202 and 790 rX though. Beautiful plane...turned into an ugly pile.

I have seen many crashes that were blamed on radio problems. In my opinion, few if any of those crashes were the fault of the radio. Many years ago ( started in 1972) I blamed the radio for everything. After many crashes, well over 100, I have concluded that I have never had a crash due to a radio problem. About 90% pilot error, the rest mechanical failure. I have had a few glitches but usually I was able to take some corrective action to eliminate that. On one occasion I could not eliminate the glitch so I sent the radio in for repairs and they corrected the problem.

That was sort of my point. I still blame the radio for all of my crashes though. Makes me sleep better.
