The gas tank cap isn't a true screw top. It has 2 small recesses in the bottom of the lid that you match up to the tank's hole mold and twist 1/4 of turn. I prefer it over a spring loaded cap.

The fuel tank lid will not be a problem until racing starts, once that happens you will want the spring loaded top, (for pit stops ect.) it is a nice car, but has no adjustability at all, and it will have the same leaky front engine bearing that the rest of the Tokie .05's have but overall it should be a fun car to have, I think all if the nitro mini's are going to be big in the near future.

I do not have the specs for the Radical engine in front of me, but I can tell you it screams! has a ton of bottom end punch, and great top end....did I mention the front bearing doesn't leak? no more mess!!!

I picked one up today too. I am going to give it the one over tonight. The normal RTR treatment... change the shock oil, diff oil, thread lock... all that good stuff. The transmitter is kind of cheasey looking... Wont be able to tell you how it works though as I have alread put in my spektrum...

Should have it broken in tomorrow. Will tell you more of my thoughts.

Here are some pick... for a size reference it is between my XRay NT18 and Jato.

I agree with that. I think they will wear very fast It does have pretty small hex hubs. I am going to see what other tires I have that will fit... or if any of my 1/10th scale TC conversion kits will fit on it... Will get to that tomorrow...

To be honest i feel that body is definitely a turn off both the Vulcan & NB16 bodies look way better.

yeah... I really hope proline hooks this buggy up with a CP body...

I am about 1/2 way through break in. I have to get use to a single needle carb again.... I may look to put a differant carb on it. Other than that break in is going smooth. It has very responsive steering. And a nice turn radious. The motor is starting to come alive. It was very very very sluggish at first. But it seems that the clutch is breaking in nicely too. Should have the break in done in a bit. I doubt I get to a top speed run today though. Possibly Sunday.

it only has a 1 needle carb? .....very wierd, its the same engine as the Vulcan but the carb must be different...

yeah... the carb is totaly differant than the one on my NT18. The carb is rotary also... not slide...

Mindcrime - I have not checked in a while - is that Radical engine out and ready now?

Does anyone know how this compares to the vulcan rtr? i mean.. is one going to be easier to get parts for online than the other? my LHS doesnt carry either.. I'm REALLY considering one of these but since the price is dead even between the chaos and the vulcan.. its kind of a hard decision..

I did notice that Hobby People was selling replacement parts for the vulcan too.. Thats why I didnt rule it out (earlier i didnt know). But i have a mayhem.. so I pretty familiar w/ sportwerks and am comfortable ordering from horizon. So either way there seems to be support.. which one is faster? more durable? I dont really want to spend the extra for the SE vulcan.. opinions? I have a vendetta too, so I'm thinking a nitro companion would be cool for it, but if the gas version is slower than the detta.. i may just dump the idea...

I have not had a chance to run a top speed test with my Choas yet... But I can say it is very quick, but not a high top end speed. It handles better than I would have guessed. I still need to lean it out a bit. Thay should help the top end, but it is not as fast as my XRay NT18.

I would hope not lol.. I havent seen many offroaders that move as quick as tc's. How much have you run yours? I am very interested in buying one but am afraid it would be a waste of money lol.. Have you flipped it at all? I'm very curious about its durability.
