Claytonchambers:

Just got mine today and the carb setting was 2.5 turns. Also had problems starting mine... tried with a little less fuel in the tank (1/2 a tank), leaned it out a bit and it started. You could also try making the fuel line as short as possible (you'll se pictures of this if you read the entire post).

Hope this helps. cheers, movikong.

Picked up 3 of these off ebay about a week ago, for.....get this, $41.00 ea!! I was into electrics in the 80's and thought this would be
an inexpensive way to get into nitros. The two sons (17 and 15) love 'em and it's something we can do together. So far I've addes the aluminum
shock towers and inferno yellow wheels. Going to upgrade the shocks to aluminum and slap a p zero in. I figure with the amount of the initial investment
I'll be able to do some nice mods and still be not out alot of money.

BTW, first post..greetings to all.

regular plugs will work. be sure to get a short plug so the piston doesn't hit the bottom of the plug.

does anyone know if another pullstart will work with the engine rather then the sportwerks brand, because the pullstart is 20 bucks when I could buy a whole new motor for 29 dollars? also does the stock pullstart that comes with the engine break easily

i haven't had any problems with the stock one. i might get a p-0 on ebay for 40$ that has a pullstart.

Why don't you just the KMI 09 or 09ST? They are a much better built mini then the Chaos................

I would just hate to see you waste money on a RC that might end up breaking. Out of all of the nitro and electric mini's the Chaos is near the bottom of my list of minis. I have owned one and all I had was problems. I got mine when they were still over $200 new. I had problems with the wheels, tires, pullstart and diffs all during the breaking in of the motor.

Hey, let's don't let this thread die...I still run my Chaos every couple of days, and pretty much have all the bugs ironed-out. Plus we're still building the Ultimate stock one with a buttload of alum parts, Hitek, Futaba Fast, etc.
