I just bought mine off ebay for $175. Is it bad that I am already scheming ways to drop a .12 in it? Put a Mini truck body on there with some other tires and make it into a truggy? I might just buy a new chassis and start drilling my own holes. Anybody tried modifications yet? I could wait for the Team trinity .095 draked edition, but I am getting impatient, any idea when it comes out? I also see on the IRC website that they were supposed to have released their new engine for the Vulcan. (http://internet-rc.stores.yahoo.net/n1scnibureto.html) I was looking for that to drop into the chaos, but it doesnt seem like it is done yet. Whatever happened to deadlines? It might just be my, but it says May 30th, 2006 and its July now.

Let me know what you are doing in the meantime to hop it up. Do Vulcan shocks work on it? What about the vulcan 2-speed? Has anyone made it fit?

Can anyone tell me the factory settings on the HSN ? Also, are there any free hop ups I can do? Or any parts from other mini's that will fit this?

I have read all the good and bad about the little Chaos. I just purchased one for my 8 year old son this evening. I have always let the kids and the wife pick thier own buggies, trucks, truggies etc. and that's what he chose. He's had an electric rustler and stampede prior to this so I feel like it's an excellent stepping stone to one of the bigger (and faster) buggies.

We have run three tanks through it this evening and after the first tank tear-down (I do that with every single RC vehicle we buy) I noticed the noise coming from the clutch was the result of the clutch bell grinding against the fly-wheel. I tried putting the smallest shim in my collection under the bell but there was insufficient clearance for the e-clip. I ultimately took the bell out to my lathe and cut .020 off of the skirt and now it's a whole new buggy. The other thing I noticed was the screws holding the motor mount to the chassis were secured with red loctite but the screws holding the motor to the motor mount didn't have any thread locker at all. I remedied that obstical and moved to the front dog-bone. Twice during the first tank the dog-bone slipped out of the drive cup at the hub causing the steering and drive-line to bind. I put small o-rings in all the cups and problem solved.

All things considered, this little buggy rocks and I'm seriously considering the purchase of one for myself.

No one knows for sure but it will be more the most the other 1/16 scale but keep in mind that comes with a starter box and other things. All so has a .09 engine which most others have around .05 so the engine is all most twice as big. I am guessing around $350 but we will have to wait and see.
