No, I really tried everything already. I tune my RS4 and it's fine. It runs between 190-220 degrees all the time. The inferno gt just won't respond accordingly. I tried playing with the high and the low speed needle. It keeps on overheating if I try to run the car consistenly. Maybe I screw up the break-in process. I did overheat the car one time. Let me start all over again with the car and let's see what happens.

Here is a low quality video of my IGT with a Picco P3-28 and Sportwerks 056 pipe ... oh, and stock gears. I posted this last year, but here it is goes again.

The parking lot I was in is just enormous, as you can see, and the freakin' thing is running out of room before she can wind out. Maybe in one shot, about halfway through, you can see it zip by at full throttle. At the end, it runs across the screen at less than half throttle (you can hear it shift, which means hardly any throttle) and it is still covering a lot of ground.

Could probably melt the tires at will. A lot of the engine talk on here is good, but I thought I'd just toss this out there.

................Man you need to get rid of that video and redo with the camera in focus so you can see what the freakin car is doing.

Hey Philster -- I need some help please -- The shaft under the brake pads on my inferno GT keeps popping out -- The pin that fits in the shaft came loose the fist time & broke my brake pad & bent the disc -- I fitted the pin back but it came out again -- I fitted another pin but i'm afraid it will come out again -- Any suggestions what I can use to make sure it doesn't come out again. When the pin comes out the rear wheels only have power. I love my GT & this is the only hiccup I've had . I raced against my inferno buggy & my inferno GT kicked it's ass

Hey, I got a question. My rs4 handles really amazing. It has good corners, turn ability, etc. I want the inferno GT to have the same handling characteristics. For some reason, my inferno gt handles like crap. It doesn't turn much, the stock brake sucks, I can't really do corners with it. All I can do with it is drag. Nothing is wrong with Dragging and bashing around parking lots but I want to corner sometimes. I was wondering what can I do to improve the braking? Is the SP brake from inferno gt worth the money? I bought the fiber brake pad to replace my rs4 stock pad and it was worth it. Stopping power completely changed. Will a performance brake pad like the SP help the inferno gt? and how can I set up the inferno gt to have more of a turn in ability? I lower the suspension on all four wheels but still handles like crap. Does anybody else have the same problem?

ur jsut not seting it up correctly if u notice stock the inferno gt has some thick oil up front but it real loose in the rear..........try some 10K diff oil in the front and 5 K in the rear........also add the 2 extra bevels gears since i think the stock inferno diff only bring 2 bevel gears........

the stock servos suck.......the stearing one move it to the brakes and get a better searing servo that way u can save a few bucks or just change both at the same time.....u can also buy the composite brake pads for the 777 buggy and install them on ur inferno it will stop on a dime and last for ever......

lastly look into geting the 777 buggy sway bars and ripp out those stock springs and install something like the grey or blue springs from the sportwerks turmoil that way u have some give in the suspention.........try all that see how much better ur car will handle

It'll be a while before I can perform those things but will these servos work for both steering and throttle?

yea but you only need one............the stearing servos work really well in the brake posion its 90 ounces of tourqe and the upgrades i tolled you about are actually quit cheap......

the sway bar set is 7 or 9 dollars each......... and the springs are 5 dollars a set.......and ull only need 2 sets diff fluid is only 5 dollars a bottel the only thing that will hurt ur wallet is the brake pads those are liek 35 dolalrs

I raced my IGT this past weekend at SS Speedwat in Tampa Florida during the Kyosho Nitrofest event.

My car took 2nd place in the 1/2 hour A Main after running out of fuel trying to squeeze out another lap at the start of the race. I lost 6 laps to the field and somehow was able to finish on the lead lap too!

My car has 50K oil in the front diff & 10K oil in the rear. I used 75W oil in all 4 shocks and used Kyosho sway bars in front & rear. I also raced using the Kyosho 55 shore V-Slick tires.

My lap times were the fastest in the A Main and they were within 4 seconds of the fastest 200mm Nitro Sedans at the track.

I up graded the steering servo with a Hi-Tec Hi-Torque unit that held my lines well.

I think the IGT can turn much faster lap times with more set-up work. My hope is to get the car within 2 seconds of the 200mm nitro sedans at the SS Speedway track with the stock engine. When that happens it will be time for a power-house engine/pipe/clutch combo.

It was more fun racing my IGT than my 1/8 scale on road car!

How much torque does the stock inferno gt throttle servo have? In response to Jspeed, your front shocks must be really stiff since you have 50k oil. Also, what do you mean 75 W oil on all four shocks?

I love racing my RS4 but for some reason I don't have as much fun anymore. I kind of like to tune my Inferno GT now because my RS4 is complete. It handles and does things like how I want it to. My inferno gt is the opposite but even though my inferno gt sucks in handling, I still love the size of it. It's fun to watch it run. I know Tsais makes a rear exhaust for the inferno GT, does anybody know the link where I can check out how much it cost? It would be a great future upgrade.

that is NO JOKE 4 second behind thats awsome.........also try useing the kyosho WC 777 upper are and tie rod set i jsut ordered myself one so i can adjust allt he cambers and toeins very easy (ofcoruse for what i do everything will be at ZERO and the rear toe in at 1 degree) but for what ur doing it mine help also rember that kyosho makes that arms for the buggie in SOFT and HARD plastic......added flex or stiffens might help you out pull out faster lap times

Yes, 75W in all 4 shocks. Sway bars front & rear. 50K in front diff, 10K in rear diff. The car was a rocket ship.

What my IGT really needs is less caster in the front end. I talked to Steve and he said the stock blocks are like 20 degrees.

I think if I could cut that in half my steering would greatly improve.

There were several turns in the infield of the track that I could have gained a lot of time. If my car could have cut those corners the way I’d like to, my laps would have been in the 14 second range.

Any ideas?

Here are some pictures of the race & my GT in action. I'm the guy holding the gallon of Werks Racing Fuel.
