So I got mine today, and tried to get her started for brake in. I really hate pull starts!

Is it okay to use a regular Glo Start, or do you need to use the Double D battery one supplied?

I am having a very hard time getting it to fire up.

I gave up when it started raining.

Any good advice......I know it wasn't flooded!
And the plug was good as well.

I love the car, but if there is an easy start of some sort, that will be the next thing I buy!

HELP:

I bought a Ofna Mclaren body for my GT and sent it to a friend for painting but he made a mistake and says we need a new body. I have been scowering the internet for a Mclaren Body (all discontinued), or the 911 body (only 1-2 places have it). Anybody know where I can find one in stock or if I can get the Kyosho Ferrari GT body (KYOIGB054) somewhere-so far AMAIN is the only one selling and it says backorder. Any leads greatly appreciated.

All of these will fit

Question:
If I'm using the clutchbell from the NRS4, what size are the standard bearings that I will need? I'm puzzled because I follow the engine swap link, but the 7 standard bearings will bind up the clutchbell. Can I use the LST2 clutchbell and HPI pinion gears? Will this work? What kind of bearings would I need? What other modifications would I have to perform?

Well, I got it started and running today and broke it in!

***** PROBLEM! *****

I can not put a Fuel filter on it, or it won't feed fuel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I even tried a different fuel filter, but it still did not work!

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

If others are running Fuel Filters, what are you using?

I have a Axial Fuel Filter.

HELP PLEASE! I do not want to keep running it without a filter on it.

The fuel tank itself has an internal fuel filter so you can try with the external one if it will work better. Make sure the engine carb is open like 1mm and not fully closed at any time. Close the pipe with your finger when pulling the cord (beware it can be hot).

Yeah, I know how to prime it, but with a fuel filter on it, it will not keep fuel flow.

I had no clue they had an internal fuel filter. So I will just keep running with out external since I now know this.

Thanks for the info.

Okay, I officially think the engine and brakes are plain junk in htis car!

In the last 2 months I have bought a NIB Nitrage (Tuned so easy, runs very strong), Losi Mega Baja (Tuned okay, runs like a champ now), Tamiya TGX (Second one, and always love Tamiya's)................Then my IGT! This thing has a great chassis design, but the engine is junk! The brakes work great for the first 5 minutes, but they must overheat or something as they go to pot quick and barely work by the end of a tank of gas!

It is now sitting as a paper weight on my bench.

My future plans are to upgrade brakes and put a OFNA .32 engine (Tamiya Nitrage Engine) in it.
It will scream, and be a much better engine all together!

I figure within a month I will have the funds and it will be built.

I will keep you updated.

***** Anyone want to buy the stock engine w/pull start? It only has a 6 tanks through it. Never even took the engine lower than 2 3/4 turns. It was still in the start tuning phase. *****

I found the engine, clutch, 2 speed system, Spur gears, radio gear, brakes and the chassis all to be a pile of junk. I changed the engine for an RB (soon to be a Sirio CL7 B STI), The chassis for a custom 4mm 7075 aluminium, The clutch for a mugen, the pinions for evolva gears, the 2 speed for a shoe type from an evolva, the spurs from an evolva and a decent radio system with BL351 brushless servos.

With the price of the original car at around £300 it seems a bit odd that I had to spend another £450 to get it to work properly.

Cheers

It's a shame you have to pay that much for a car and turn around and dump this much money into it to get it to run good!

I never even used the radio. I put my Spektrum in it off the bat!

I am surprised to read so many people complaining abouyt this car in stock form. I have had mine for over a year and have not had ONE problem with it. Yes, the brakes fade but it shifts perfect everytime and I am stil on my original gears. The engine does require some fine tuning but that is what a nitro car is all about. I have well over 1 gallon through it and unless it is super cold outisde, I can get her running in minutes.

I have 30 years of RC experience so maybe that helps buit come on guys, the INFERNO GT IS A SOLID CAR!

I too have 20+ years in RC. 1 gallon in one year! You don't run it much then!

I have a gallon each rand through my LST and Nitrage, and I only have had them for 2 months now.

Bottom line, the IGT sucks. I am buying a Nitrage engine and exhaust set up (OFNA .32) come 1st of April. I am also going to upgrade brakes and rotor to K Factory equipment. This should make it a solid car.

Mine never shifts....so it is slow as hell. Gues I will have to fool with that too.

As far as yours performong fine, I am sure there are some Yugo's still running good somewhere in the world.

My K-GT car runs great! after market brake rotor, Spektrum system, Foam tires, stock engine that runs great for what it is! the rest is stock out of the box!
