Jspeed,
Thank you for chiming in. It is good to see another experienced member who stands behind the IGT.
For everyone else, learn to tune before you say the car is junk. You may want to invest in a starter box, that will make starting it MUCH easier.

I would be glad to whoop your IGT with my very well tuned Nitrage any day...and it has no 2 speed!

So don't go saying I don't know how to tune. My LOSI LST even had it's problems when tuning, but after a few post break in runs, I could dial it in.

"MY" IGT after break in, is not acting as should. It jumps around so much, that it leads me to think the engine is a defect!

So please, do not ever insult me by saying I can't tune a motor, I have tuned more motors with great outcomes, and in an enviroment that changes all the time (Washington State) so please don't be little me!

Bottom line, the .28 and exhaust is on eBay and come April 1st, a OFNA .32 (Nitrage Engine) and exhaust, plus K Factory Brake system will be purchased, and I will gladly race you when it is complete and show you what junk the original package is!

WOW! nice guy! ....My GT runs GREAT! i changed brakes , radio, added sway bars, and thats it! the .28 engine runs Great also!...the 2spd works fine~~~~~~~

How many IGT Spec cars do you have racing at your track?

We're closing in on 30 Spec class cars over here at SS Raceway, all of them running the factory .28!

I hope the program is growing well over there for you guys too.

Jeff

This is pretty much why i dont post on this thread much there is alot of newbie questions that could be easily fixed if they use a search botton,

like every other nitro car OR real 1:1 car there is always a weak point to any car, i own 3 inferno gts and from that experence i can tell u the only TRU weak points on ther car are the linkages, lack of front touqre rod, and the issue with the 2speed, all of witch are easy cheap fixes, the linkage and front tourque rod from the WC777 work fine on the inferno gt and both things are about 25 dollars, the 2speed issue is an even cheaper fix by just replaceing the bushing in the 2nd gear and puting in bearings

to all the people i see complaining about the motor the motor itself isnt that bad at all, the inferno in stock form can do 50+ and the motor could last a very very long time ive broke in alot of those kyosho 28 motors since i work at a LHS here in miami (micro motor sports jeff u know us) if there is something wrong with ur motor trust me its something wrong with what ur doing or how u broke it in

and since when can you compare a nitrage truggy to a inferno gt?? since when are we compareing apples to oranges??

im sorry to say but the inferno is the single best stock RTR onroad sedan on the market right now, so if ur haveing problems dont bash the car, look it over before u speak
and lastly did i 4get to metion even tho there isnt that much inferno gt action on RCU FYI last year it was the highest selling RTR onroad on the market....why??? becuase it built just that dam good

Whats up Bro, I didn't know you were Micro Motorsports. That's cool

We need to get together to build an IGT racing program down your way.

How many of the IGT cars have you sold from your shop?

Next year's INDY race at Homestead should include the Spec class. Do you remember the race last year?

The crowd loved the RC cars, the 2 main questions were: How fast? & How much?
The spectators all loved the speed but had heart attacks when I told them how much a 200mm Nitro Sedan or 1/8 scale cost.

If the IGT cars were racing the thousands of spectators would have loved watching them and would have loved the prices. You could have sold a bunch of them, for sure. This is something we need to work on, I'll give you a call later in the week.

Jeff

Hi, how can I get the car to turn even more. I have the ULTRA TORQUE servo by Hitek. It doesn't lag in keeping the wheel turning but the turning angle isn't big enough. It turns like something sissy. My RS4 would do donuts around the IGT. What can I do to make the car turn better. Sway bars and torque rod will only help with high stress. I mean even at low speed, the car still lags sharpness in cornering. Please let me know, thankz.

The "blue" center link behind your front diff has 3 sets of holes for your tie-rods. If you haven't already moved it the the rear hole, try that. You'll need to re-set your toe-out, but it could give you more steering.

Also check the "throw % in your radio's steering, sometimes you can adjust it more from there too.

also look at the hubs turned lock to lock you'll see blocks where they hit take a dremel, file, etc and grind it down to a 45 till it lets you turn all the way...

Thanks for the help. I filed down that block behind the C-hubs and the car turns better now. The only problem is the car won't turn all the way left. If I turn right, the car will turn until the hub hits the 45 degree block but if I turn left, the car will only turn a little. I think it is because I didn't set the steering linkage to neutral before tightening it up. Thanks for the help. I will try setting the steering linkage to normal and let's see what happens.

Okay, it was a sunny day today. I went racing with my IGT. The steering did get better for turning right but not if I turn left. Any help? I'm using the ultra torque servo from Hitec. I think it is mg645 or something like that.

Thanks Philster for recommending Sportwerks 26. That thing is a monster, tears up the parking lot even with tall gear ratio.

My shocks are dead. The chassis was grinding on the ground and it still hauled azzss. What damper weight oil would you guys recommend for the shocks?

I put new composite brake pad w/ SP brake disc and brake fade seems to disappear. WOW, AMAZING. Anyways, let me know what you guys think I should use. I really appreciate it.

Depending on how bumpy the surface you're running on, try a 70w to 80w shock oil and set your ride height at 7mm front and 9mm rear at the lowest point of the chassis. Also try to stand your shocks as straight up as possible, outer upper holes on top & inner holes on the bottom. If you loose sterring, lay down the front shocks 1 hole at a time till you get it back anain. Good luck!

I understand you are defending a car you like. But in the last 3 months, I have broke in a Tamiya Nitrage, Losi Mega Baja, Traxxas Nitro Vee, Pro Boat Thunder Cat 31, and a Tamiya TGX. All motors broke in fine and run great as of today. The Losi and Nitrage have over a gallon each through them and run like they did the day I got them.

So NOT to be rude, I think I know how to break in a motor and tune them.

Any case, I sold the complete engine and exhaust, and I am now going to buy a Mach 427 for the Losi and drop the M26SS from the Losi into the Inferno as I know it is a good motor and runs great!

ok well lets talk, i personally right know own to my collection well over 25 motors ALL bein italian high end mills(exept 2 427's i have those are the only budget motors i own) everything else is norarossi, picco, ninja, mega ect ect ive bein raceing and tuneing cars for over 6 years and in total over the course of 6 years ive owned over 50 something diffrent cars and brands 9me personally)

for the past year ive actually worked at a hobby shop here in miami called MICRO MOTOR SPORTS, and buddy ive broken in and tuned every motor or car u can image TRUST ME THE STOCK MOTOR ISNT A BAD ONE now for my taste ive always gotten something better and fasster, but out of the box the kyosho 28 is fine to messing around if u had problems with it im sorry to say but u messed up somewhere , ive brokeing in those kyosho 28s in the 7.5 buggy, the inferno gt, the inferno st truggy, and the mad force ALL OF THEM useing that motor and not one had a problem

my point being dont bad mouth the motor simply becuase u had a bad experance with ONE MOTOR, when u brake in or tune over 50 of them for clients or ur friends with them, come back to me and tell me the motor is crap

PS the 427 is a awsome motor, but the M26SS is the biggest POS u will ever buy that 3 port thing LACKS SEROUSE POWER
