thanks for the clear up jspeed. this makes sense, since having them on all inner holes would result in less leverage applied = softer feel. i was originally under impression that rough parking lot driving would call for softer suspension to keep grip by absorbing bumps, but i guess you have to compromise because the same bumps will bottom out the chassis, losing grip anyway.

i'm also going to put some heavy oil in the diffs. i read earlier about 50k front and 30k rear... just curious about overall effect, does that give slight push on turn in, but pulls away on exit?

all i can say about that event is *cue Borat's voice* "eh please make movie film, i watch!"

I'd go with the 50K front & 10K or 20K rear max, some guys at our track are running 100K front and 30K rear, but my car still runs using the 50K & 10K and its working very well for me at the track.

Why do i still post here??? becuase every so often there isnt a NOOBIE question and there is actually a topic worth talking about if u notice when there was real conversation on this thread i was always in here
and about that 10 year old motor.............um good luck that little 15 HPI motor its 100 times bigger POS than the stock inferno motor, i litterally have about 4 or 5 of those in my house in peice all blow from when i first started in the hobby years ago, in fact i still got one BRAND NEW somewhere in my house
ur complaining about the kyosho 28 motor and yet u run that??? u do relize that motor over heats like hell right?? notice there is no engine head??? the cheap casting on the head use to make the small rinky dink fins break off all the time, the conecting ron on the motor is solid peice of copper thats heavy as hell and use to snap like nothing, i rember years ago we use to replace those rods with the one from the blue head OS 15 CVRX
BTW take it from me stock that motor will NOT PULL ANY CAR OVER 35 MPH............and if u keep useing that CRAPPO traxxas fuel u got in the backround trust me none of ur motors will last long at all
anyways back on topic, so has anyone dont anything new with there inferno's????

Dude, I know you think you know everything as you work in a hobby shop, but just as it is in the real world, I know lots of people that work on real cars for a living, doesn't mean they know anything or are good at it.

GET OVER YOURSELF!

I will put any of my cars up against yours of equal performanc eany day!

I have been doing this hobby before you were a glimmer in your momma's eye!

But go ahead, build yourself up some more, but you are the one that has a problem, just because someone says an engine is junk.

By the way.......the OS motors that were run in the TGX's are very good. Had one for 2 years and it even sat for a year without being run, and it fired up and ran like a champ. But this one is getting replaced with a newer OS as we speak. Trust me though, I knwo what the hell I am doing. And I do my stuff with perfection.

Look at my showroom here on TamiyaClub.com, and you will see, I don't cheap out!

so becuase u think the engine is crap u bad mouth it one a site hundreds of people look at so then they got the wrong impresion about the motor. yet ive tolled ive had ALOT of experence with the motor and i can honestly tell u it isnt a bad motor BUT NOT ONLY THAT jspeed has over 30 people he knows running that same motor for 30-45 minute mains.........trust me guy "IM NOT THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEMS", and since when did we start talking about OS motors anyways??? why would that even be brought up????

i got a 5 year old nova mega 15 big block evo (jspeed i know u know that motor) and i still use it along with other motors that are years old too...........so whats ur point bringing up this OS motor???

first u start talking about the GX28 motors, then u bring up the fact u have a 10 year old motor (some crappo HPI 15FE) and now ur talking about OS??? dude stick to one subject

u might have bein in the hobby since i was a glimmer in my mothers eye but YOU have some serouse growing up to do, and the fact that u can put any of your cars against any of mine??? sorry guy i dont have anything under 70 MPH so i see that highly unliky

either way back on subject jspeed you guys at the track are running those inferno SLAMMED on the ground! u havent looked into get CVDS for ur inferno gt??? those stock bones have alot of play in them in wobble like hell

Miami,

We race the IGT cars on a real smooth track surface so my ride height is between 6mm-7mm front & 8mm - 10mm rear at the lowert points.

Universals are nice, I should get some too, but so far as sloppy as the stock bog bones are, they're working pretty good for me at the races. Maybe I'll get a set when the stockers wear out.

Hey Jspeed, it was confusing to follow through with the setup but let me know if I did it right.

There are 4 black plastic ball joint holder. I attached two of them together using the longer allen screw and another two with the other long allen screw. This gives me two arms (plastic joint cup). I inserted the sway bar through the front diff and screw two small allen screw through the holes at the front diff. Next, I connected the aluminum joints to the ends of the sway bar and tighten it with the small allen screws (the amount of sway bar going past the aluminum joints will allow more or less stiffness for the front). I clipped one of the arm (black plastic joint cup) to the aluminum joint and and the other plastic cup to the ball joint. After that, I screwed the ball joint on the lower suspension arm with the longer phillips screw. I did the same for the other side of the sway bar.

I have 4 small phillip screws left. Did I do something wrong?

Ok guys here is the MICRO MOTOR SPORTS one of a kind inferno gt i personally had nothing to do with building this car since im not really into the brushless/lipo scene 2 of the guys that work at the shop i work at built this from the ground up they are still working out the gearing options but once its 100% ready im sure it will blow any of my nitro inferno gts out of the water we actually built 2 of them one for the shop one for a customer both are still in trail and error stages ill post videos of it running once there done, id even like to drag race one of my nitro inferno to see how they compare!! enjoy the pics guys

PS belive it or not this inferno actually has close to 1,600+ dollars invested and thats with out labor, and when finished it will only have a run time of about 15 minutes at about 80+MPH

sorry the pics arent that great i took them with my cell phone

You're good to go. The 4 screws are extras, for some reason because the IGT had them on the diff anyway,

I am thinking about buying an inferno but the only place i have to run it is a grass cricket pitch, do these cars have enough ground clearance to drive on grass?
