ORIGINAL: joizeex i hate you guys! we don't have anything awesome like that here btw, how did that race of legends go?? Don’t hate the players, hate the game. We’re just lucky because we got the IGT Spec program started over here in Florida last December with the Kyosho Nitrofest race at SS Raceway and racer participation has grown strong very fast. It hasn’t been easy either, when the “hard core” on-road nitro “semi-pros” 1st heard about us starting classes for racing Kyosho IGT cars, they ridiculed the concept of a fast, fun, durable & affordable form of racing. I personally caught a lot of “heat” over the whole deal because the program is centered around the IGT chassis only.. A lot of those guys represent different brands & they don’t like this new game, it was & still is very political in nature. We’re all very fortunate that Kyosho America is making fine products to help grow our sport of RC racing in a new, more affordable “mainstream” direction, while still offering world championship level winning cars too. We should all applaud their effort & dedication to transcend the entire RC market. The “Legends vs. Young Guns” event went very well. The IRL drivers had a blast racing (bashing) the IGT cars. Each car was painted to match their INDY paint schemes. They crashed, rolled, flipped, cart wheeled and kept on going strong. Several local television & radio celebrities also had the opportunity to drive the IGT cars. No other “conventional big-buck” on road RC cars would have survived the abuse the IGT cars took that day. All in all, it was a ton of fun.
