Hey Sfie .
I've gone into your profile & checked out your gallery. How many cars do you have dude ? Wow that's impressive . I like the Nitro truck with the custom paint job.

I hear Spektrum & Futaba is a good choice.

Thanks ReegSF,
Honestly, I lost track. I've got to update the gallery to add some of the new ones. I'll have to take a count tonight when I get home.

Youv'e got more cars !! This is my first year & I only have 3 so far. I'm planning to get a monster truck soon. What is a good choice of monster truck ? I'm looking at getting the HPI Savage X 4.6 Big block.
Hey, I forgot to mention that you can get those parts etc. from Amainhobbies.com . They cater for a wide variety of models & the service & prices are fairly decent.

sfie281674, if you are on a budget, get the Spectrum dx2. It is a great deal; only $144 from UltimateHobbies.com. If you are not on a budget, get the Spectrum dx3 ($279). These two radios are great. They operate at 2.4GHz frequency, which means no interference. If you have these radios, you don't have to worry about crystals or anything at the track.

I bought a Futaba 3PM at 27MHz for $100 and I also bought 2 ultra-torque hg645 or something servos from HiTec. They total about $160. If you buy things separate, you don't get as good of a deal on the item as if you are to buy it together. My suggestion is get the dx2; it comes with servos as well. It is a super bargain, you can't beat it.

Hey guys,
I already have a radio. I'm using the Nomadio Sensor. What I need is new servos. I'm looking to upgrade the brake & steering. I'm trying to set the car up for the race track. Just to to see what everyone else is using. Thanks

For servos, you can buy a HITEC HS-645 MG ULTRA TORQUE for $30 for the steering and use the stock IGT steering servo as throttle. It is best if you just go with two SERVO HITEC HS-645 MG ULTRA TORQUE for steering and throttle though. They are excellent and super torque out. If you buy these servos, get the aluminum servo arms, your plastic ones will strip like nothing. I did donuts with these servos and stock servo arms and the servo arms would strip like nothing. Go on ebay and type in aluminum servo arms. You should be able to find aluminum servo arms for hitec servos easily.

For sharper turning, look on the back of your suspesion arms. There should be two blocks that your aluminum hubs (the ones that connect to the wheels) will rub against when you turn side to side. Take a file or dremel and sand a 45 degree angle on these plastic blocks and you should be able to turn pretty sharp.

For braking, use the composite brake pad and sp brake disc. Go on ebay and bid on something like I have listed below. The pads will provide extreme braking power and will last a long time.

Hi guys! just bought my very first nitro 2 months ago, and now im planning to buy my second and Im really interested with the IGT.

-Are all the IGT models the same? I think I read from somewhere that there are few new modifications with the ferrari model?
-Is the IGT2 due to be realesed soon? coz If yes I think I'll wait for that but if not then I'll get the IGT..

Thanks all in advance!

I have not heard anything about Kyosho releasing an IGT2 anytime soon.

The only difference between the newer version of the IGT (Ferrari f430) and the previous version is the gear ratio and body. The newer version has taller gear ratio. I think they just upgraded the pinions from 14t & 17t to 15t & 19t. Just go with whatever body you want. The newer version still comes with the same weak second gear shift point.

I blew my second gear again because of this weak shift point but my first gear is 19t pinion, which is the same as the new IGT. I am in the process of upgrading my engine to single speed. I am going to test my rs4 spur on it. If this works, I am done with Kyosho's weak second gear. If not, I am going to order a mod from a guy in the UK. He converted the second gear shift box to an aluminum one from the landmax or something.

The IGT is a powerful car for stock. If you do some upgrades, you will be amazed. Big difference in power from my small rs4.

Can any one tell me if the MP7.5 main chassis plate is interchangable with the IGT?

yea it's the same IF146 plate, except that the hole for spur gear on the 7.5 is smaller for 1 speed, so you'll have to dremel it out if you want 2 speed.

btw, after shaving down those steering stop blocks i noticed that when the steering knuckles go beyond their original stopping point, the driveshafts will get caught and then slip out of the slots in the cups. so unless you're using CVDs in the front, it's going to screw up the cups in the long run and it makes the steering wobble left-right.

so i installed the front B blocks to reduce castor by 1* and rear 2* toe block and front 2.3mm sway and rear 2.8mm sway, but the damn thing plows into the corners like crazy i'll try the softest front sway, and reduce front negative camber to 0, but it doesn't seem like it'll help.

I have shaved my blocks and have the same front sway bar installed. My car steers like a champ. Are you a basher or a racer? What tires are you running?

well i've been bashing and drifting it around parking lots on stock tires and in the dirt (with spiked ofna tires). on dirt it has amazing steering response with those tires. on asphalt i use treaded ofna tires.

i would like to race, but first i need to set it up, which is why i'm experimenting with all the settings. oh yea, and i also lowered it to where the lower arms are slightly pointing up when it's on the ground.

after you shaved the blocks, don't your driveshafts catch in the slots on the cups at full lock? it's bound to happen at those angles. i'm awaiting for CVDs to get delivered.

I shaved a 45 degree angle on the block and it seems to be fine. I don't have to worry about anything, the drive shafts won't come off at all. I don't think my driveshafts have ever come off my IGT. It works fine.

BTW, I f
