I've tried this disc but IMO it causes binding, never mind how you setup the brakes. Good luck with them.

What is the maximum ground clearance that somebody got on a Inferno GT with aftermarket or stock suspension?

Hey vosak, I am not sure about how high the clearance is but I used some sportwerks mayhem buggy blue springs and the ride height went up dramatically.

Hey HJJFFFAA, just follow the manual. You should:

1) rinse the engine out with fuel through the carburetor.
2) Set idle needle so the throttle opens about 2-3mm (look in the manual at how much you should have it open).
3) Set high speed needle & low speed needle to factory settings (stated in manual).
4) Make sure you have all your electronics working properly. Check your brakes to make sure the car will brake properly.
5) Prime the engine by holding the exhaust exit or tip with your finger and pulling the pullstart. Prime until fuel is in engine and there are no more bubbles in the fuel line.
6) Attach glow igniter.
7) Let igniter warm up engine. You can also use a blow dryer to warm up the engine before you try to start the engine.
8) Start engine by pulling the pull start. You can also open up the throttle a little more while pulling on the pull start. This will enable fuel and air to flow in faster into the engine.
9) Once engine is started, follow the break-in procedure in your manual. If engine keeps on stalling, increase idle.

GOOD LUCK.

Kyosho will release the Inferno GT2 soon. Some store are accepting pre-order. Kyosho stated on their website that the 2 speed transmission has been improved. I know the gear ratio has been set taller. Does anybody know if they solved the 2 speed wear problem?

Thanks maoy! Are the new aftermarket kyosho shock towers (IGW005, IGW006) and two pairs of aftermarket shocks (2xTRW105) worth the money because this investment is 200$ so if somebody has it on their IGT can they tell me are they satisfied?

vosak, to be honest with you, if you are going to spend $200 on that, just add another $100 and get yourself a Mugen Ninja .28 engine. You will not regret that ninja engine.

Personally, I run a nitro rs4 and there are tons of aluminum upgrades for it. I personally have stayed away from these parts because they cost more and are not as as good as plastic when absorbing an impact. Plastic will rebound back easily while aluminum will bend and stay that way even in minor collisions. You have to do what I do and bend it back using pliers or a hammer.

I run a .26 engine in my hpi rs4 and recently I went back down to an OS .18tz so that I can run my old bodies. I am getting it modded by AB mods. This thing total will cost me about over $400 including parts and everything. If I have to do it again, I would rather get a Ninja .28 engine and throw it in my rs4 and Inferno GT. It's the same price anyways. But, I can't wait to try the .18tz once it is modded. Hope it flies. Heard a lot of great things about AB mods.

I've seen the new optional shock towers and they look good. The stock plastic ones have always served me well during races.

The alloy towers should not flex under extreen conditions and have some mods to the rear upper rod locations to allow a more progressive camber gain, that will reduce the amount of "static" negative camber needed to handle big sweepers without breaking traction on other parts of a track that don't need as much camber.

Good litle factory mod to the original IGT design. The new GT2 must be full of little touches like that. We'll soon see what else the crew at Kyosho Japan has looked at for us.

2 bills is expensive, where did you get that price from?

Here you go IGT racers!

The New PF8-GT

One of the most exciting classes to emerge in the last year has been the 1/8th scale GT class.

This body style is sure to enhance speed and handling with its large rear wing and front splitter. It’s pulled in rugged genuine lexan and features 3 wing struts for added durability. If more rear downforce is required, the wing has the extra lexan material needed to bend a “gurney lip” across the top edge. This body comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware.

Sleek and functional from every angle – the PROTOform PF8-GT racebody is sure to be on the winner’s podium very soon!

Let's Go Racing!

Hey, I was wondering if anybody knows how Werks B7 .28 engine handles in the inferno gt? low end torque? high end torque? is it a screamer?

I read up on a couple of forums and everybody says it is great but they are all running off-road buggies. How does this engine compare with the ninja .28? Anywhere close?

I'm all about racing the Kyosho Inferno GT in the "Spec" class, but here's my take.

A few years ago I raced off-road with the Werks Racing B7 .21 and it was a screaming powerplant. It had a smooth bottom end, strong mid range and an insane top-end with the JP-2 pipe.

Werks now offers their own exhaust pipes tured to their engines.

My advise to you is to call Werks racing and talk to Eric. Tell him what you're wanting to do and he'll be able to get you on the right track.

Werks also has a real nice adjustable clutch that will help launch your car like a champion.

Thanks for the help JSpeed. I am only using it for parking lot bashing so a top end pipe will do it. I will talk to werks and figure something out.

Hey, got a question. Do you guys know if the custom front bumper for the aston martin will work for the 350z? I want to know because the 350z front goes way beyond the bumper and this causes the front to go up and down at high speed. Thanks in advance.
