Hey, I might be doing engine swap in the next couple of months. I wanted to know what engine is better? LRP .28, MACH 427, .28, etc, or Axial .28, .28RR? As we had stated many times before, keep in mind the cost. I'm more towards the regular Axial .28 b/c it's cheaper and I've heard it's just as good as the LRP, MACH, and the Axial .28RR. Help me break down the differences. Thanx.

Well I've only seen the LRP on an IGT...I trust that engine and it has TONS of power but I can't make any further comparisons since I know a little about the other engines.

the axial 28 lacks serouse RPM its have tons of bottom end but doens scream at all

the axial 28 RR has a little more RPM on the top end buts its not worth the money at all plus both axial have the same crappy carb those motors have serouse AIRLEAKS

LRP is good i havent ran it myself but i got to see it run once and it was ok motor its 160 bucks but for the money i would much rather spend 35 dollars more on a PICCO 28 P3

the MACH 427 is ur best bet for the price

you think miami? id say the LRP is better, or if you like red, get the Nosram .28, which is the same thing with a red engine head, and i think its a bit cheaper. or, how about the O.S. VG series? like the .21, which seems to be okay for the price i heard.

Thanks for the reply. The Nosram .28 looks good but it's only available through the UK. The OS .21 VGs are fine but they don't produce much power. The MACH 427 is great but I don't have a dremel to cut the bottom plate off. The LRP .28 is perfect but the price is a little high. This is a tough decision. I should just wait for now. Thanks for the help. I guess I should wait until I graduate from college next year, get a good job, then I'll probably buy the best one. I know I'll need all of your help to put it together though. Hope to hear from you guys again.

I have the STS 30 in both of mine with 15/19 gears. Both scream and do over 100kmh. One has a hyper 8 pipe and the other has a team infinity on road pipe.

the VG series is GARBAGE the 21 ad 30VG are made out of ABL sleeves that scrach up easy and lack big time RPM

also u dont need to cut anything on the 427 motor just but the bump start backplate that what i did on both of mine problem stolved (thats if ur have a starter box if not ur stuck dremeling)

from what ive seen is the LRP has more tourque than the picco but the picco sceams a little bit more, also the picco is a VERY VERY FAST REVING MOTOR and i mean FAST as soon as the carb is open that baby is GONE

also the picco 28 P3 comes in a few versions too the picco his a blue head, the mega 28 is a orange head, the adam drake 28 comes with a silver head, and the jammin 28 is has a red head all 4 of these motors are 100& the same thing and cost the same (exept the mega its about 20 dollars more for no reson exept the orange head)

So far the Mach has been great to me. Has tons of torque so it can be geared high and ask for more. You dont need a dremmel to cut the back plate of the roto starter. I used a hack saw as it was easier to control. I have a brand new LRP Truggy that I might throw in there later but for now the Mach is king . Running it on 30% with an aftermarket head and only the factory shim. I've put over 1/2 a gallon through it allready and no issues. starts like a charm up every time.

Going to meet with Steve Pond of Kyosho when I move back to So Cal in a few weeks and take a tour of the Facility. We are going to radar the car as well and hopefully get some professional insight on this crazy machine.

Hi guys
I finally bought my Kyosho Inferno GT --- YES PLEASE !!!!
The only hiccup we have in South Africa is that the inferno only comes with the BMW GTR,Subaru & Nissan 350Z Calsonic bodies. I chose the Nissan body -- I can only get the Ferrari body in SA next year -- Wow this car is huge compared to my 1/10th on road HPi -- I can't wait to run it in on Saturday . On road racing here I come !!
Are their any problems or improvements that you guys have encountered with the Inferno GT ? -- Every car has their hiccups & once sorted out & then it's perfect .
