Which one is easier to fly? The #4 is fixed pitched and the 22e is collective pitch I think. Once I get better on FMS I want to get something cheap to start off. The 22e looks like a clone of the Night Ranger 3D. And the #4 looks like a Blade CP.

Well, I was choosing between these 2 myself a bit earlier.
Then I'd chosen the 22E:
It's heavier, should be easier to contral. (I read some post in here)
It's bigger.
Tougher.
It didn't cost much more.

#4 is most definitely not a blade cp, maybe a CX but not cp.

and yes the the night ranger 3d is a clone of the 22e, completely interchangeable parts, but the electronics are different

#4 = Fixed pitch
CX = Coaxial design
22E = CP
Blade = CP

#4 is the pretty easy and the strongest, can be crashed without needing repairing.

The 22E is the clone of the Night ranger 3D even the parts are identical. the Blade CP also has a clone the DF40 which has the same configurations both are CP, the DF4 is FP so its most likely to be like the ESKY honeybee. If you are a newbie on heli i'd get the DF#4 it is easier to set-up and is more durable. even the blades are strong and can take teh beating.. If you are no newbie and has the time to tinker aroud stuff then the DF22E is for you.. it is harder to set-up a CP heli since there are alot of thing to consider.. and for the 22E using foam blades are alot expensive since every hit creates nicks and groken blades.. less durable since every flight requires alot of head speed and to be able to lift head speed is already constant. small errors creates big $$$$ spent

It's amazing how cheap the walkera helis are. I thought that fixed pitch helis were harder to fly since the only way they generate lift is through increasing the speed of the blades where as CP helis could alter the angle of the blades to create lift.

Good for the esky helicopter like the Lama 2 or CP2

Yup Walkera heli are cheap no doubt but they are also hard to fly using there electronics... problems does occur occasionaly but if the kit is the concern the heli is durable almost at par as the good ones sometimes better.. just be always be on the eye for possible causes of error...

Yup the FP does look harder to fly since it only need the RPM to lift the heli, but this is why it is much simpler to set-up since no more balancing ang checking of the blade angles only tracking needed for it. The 22E with all the linkages and mechanics will make you think both ways on possible problems caused during flight... although if you are one of the guys who wants the challenge in setting up R/C's heli then the 22E is for you.. almost all of the newbies that i read in the forums had errors on there first flights most of them even lost there helis due to this errors but if you take it one step at a time you will have tons of fun with this hobby....

all you need is $$$$$ it always $$$$$..... hmmm we have to do somthing with that....WALKERA + GOOD TX/RX + SERVOS + ESC + LIPO + BRUSHLESS = $$$$$$$ to think with all the replacement the walkera is at par with Align or ARK.. hhhhhmmmmmm and this i just to fly this heli.....

Basically a CP heli will have more problems because of the complexity and FP doesn't since it's more simplier. But for a newbie, which would be the better choice in terms of flying? CP or FP? Coaxial helis seem too easy and I'd rather use a sim to pratice.

Are CP and FP completely different in terms of handling? Would it makes sense to get both and maybe a coaxial to fly around the house?

Initially I was gonna buy a Night Ranger 3D, but when I checked out Walkera, I could get a 22E and a #4 for the price of one NR3D. That's just too much of a bargain.

BTW, the 22E is capable of 3D like the NR3D right? They're both CP but what makes a CP capable of 3D manuevres? I heard the Blade CP needs upgrades inorder to do them. (not that I'm going to them for a long time heheh)

The 22e is capable but have not seen anyone do it yet or has posted some videos.. but theoretically it is capable... the blade CP is capable too but you need to replace the blades to symmetric ones to be able to have lift during inverted.. the.. with the 22E no problem with the blades but am not sure that the heli can do it stock.. maybee with additional power and upgrades you can perform 3d.. the stock servos are really slow and slugish. response is not that fast to perform 3D....
