Hi experts!

I'm a new flyer here.
I'm just wondering if I got the versions correct...
Version 2 is the old model and Version 1 is the latest model (according to the attached photos, borrow from this forum.)

They are completely different set up between these 2 mechanism, I assume.
Version 1, the pitch can be changed.
Version 2, is the fix pitch?

Please advice.

both v1 and v2 of the 22e are CP (collective pitch), the pictures you have posted are actually both of the v2, however, it looks like in the second picture the head was downgraded. look at the swash plate of the second picture and you'll see a ball connector with nothing attached to it, that shows it use to have a bell-hiller type head.

the blue aluminum block is also part of v2

I see.
I'm only being new here and the 22E is what I've got.
Just want to find out is mine the latest model and mine is Version 1 as shown here.

But another query.
They seems as they are different mechanism to me.
The pitches of the Version 1 and Version 2 would go 2 opposite directions when, say, the flybar connectors go upwards.

Please correct me if I was wrong.
I was thinking the ways they would move as if the flybar go up.

If you got the 22E with the aluminum parts ex aluminum frame and block you got the 22E-Z or the 2nd version.

Ar!
Thx!
I think mine is the 2nd version as the photo on the left.

So what are the differences between these 2 photos?
As I have mentioned, I realise the mechanism are different.
Am I right?

The original version of the 22E had the white canopy with all plastic parts the head was also made of plastic (the one on the right photo) . this tends to bind alot since its plastic to plastic.. not a very good combination.. and it usually fries the servos easily due to the amount of work it does.. cyclic adn pitching is very poor and inaccurate very hard to control due to the binding head need to be an expert just to tame this bird.. then out came the improved version with addons like the blue aluminum frame and head which are stonger and better cyclic, they also added the blue servos that is somewhat faster than the original ones.. and they also replaced the canopy with the one piece polycarbonated plastic more durable... all in all the version2 or the 22E-Z is much stable and better to handle but am not sure if you can do 3D the original tail motor is not that powerful enough to do this no tail authority kinda burns alot too....

I think the one you had on the photos are the same they are both 22E-Z or the V2

Any of the lipos will do just be attentive though the power of the lipo can realy toast the tail motor and you will need replacement earlier need to put heatsink on the motor to make sure it lasts longer... the sim cable am not sure.. i guess it is the same as that of the DF04 both have the S-video plug.. am not using that type of cable all i did was made one from scrap plugs i have lying around all you need is a S-video plug, cables and an audio plug ( one used for headphones ) much easier to use but I have only tried it with FMS i think it does not work with G3... but is a good way to practice

I had done enough research before buying the heli in HK here.
I can get the parts on the next day.
Hope I don't need to get the parts too often!

"Stall" there"???
What do you mean by this?

I have tried to look at here.
http://users.belgacom.net/TX2TX/tx2tx/english/tx2txgb7.htm

I think I can make one myself but not sure which diagram I should follow from this link.
I'm not an expect as you guys are.
I'm only a newbie in this.

So it's simply as plug the cable in and it would be able to use it with FMS?
Actually, I downloaded the FMS n played with the keyboard only...

Yup Ippie you can use the home made cable on FMS only but you need to download the dll and place it to the FMS folder
all you will be needing is a mic in port or a line in port on your PC. I have been using my cable for a few weeks no and it had no problems what so ever.. as easy as 123... just hope you can make the cable... have fun

P.S.
What is heatsink?

heat sinks are usually made of aluminum. this are placed on the motor or the ESC which helps dissipate heat. the larger the area of
cooling the faster it gets cooled...

you can use the ones from GWS for you tail motor heatsink the one in black .. i forgot the part number but it works fine with the N30 walkera tail motor.

Thx so much!!!
Where I can get the dll from?
And where exactly I need to place this file at the FMS?

Can this setting up work with other sims as well?
You had a try?
