mines is right in the middle of the recomended zone.
flys great right there but im gonna move it a little further back and see if it makes any better for prop hanging.
but it is a great starting point.

    Well its true !
I can freestyle 3D all day long and do most 3D manoeuvres individually
but ask me to link two predetermined manoeuvres together and ill struggle.
Hence I have just got my first pattern ship to try and teach me some precision flying and will learn a schedule with it.

But I do like freestyle cos its got the wow factor (and the audience don’t know what I'm going to do next but neither do i )

You won't find one unless you use the Showtime 90 gear. It is a bit taller though.
I just ordered a replacement for mine this week from Graphtechrc.

Triangle, you can also take the landing gear of the funtana 90 (the yellow one) it's a little bit shorter but the plane is the same dimension of the 90.I use the one of the 90 on mine and it works great. only a couple of onces more in weight. and the hole for the wheel pants does not fit unless a little bit of grinding around to accomodate the axle shaft.

I am sure someone has done one...
There are two 4-40 screws that hold the canopy down.

I was at an electric fun fly on Saturday and this guy came buy with an Electric Funtana running 10S Lipo. When I say this thing was powerful it was incredible. I believe he was running the Axi 53xx series motor.

Flew the Funtana 100 X this Sunday and I managed to lose virtually of the rudder and one elevator in flight.
It was in a dive (throttle off) and It over sped and I lost it due to flutter
The 16.5” wide prop wasn’t enough to slow it down.
I limped it back landed it in 16mph winds with gusts up to 36mph it came in well considering
So new tail plane are now on order for it.
Forgot to get pictures but it looked like the tail had been hit with a shot gun

The flying surfaces were sealed and the servos have a 9kg torque and still seem to be fine.
Would it help prevent the flutter if I went to a digital servos ???

    MJ,

I am not sure...all I know is that I fly my tana quite fast and hard and only lost an elevator half well after 300 flights. (using CA hinges!)
Now...as I replace hinges after inspecting closely, I replace them with Dubro on the elevator and rudder with the Robarts in the ailerons. The only time I experienced flutter is when I forgot to tighten the ball links on my ailerons....other than that...never.

Sorry to hear of the mishap.

    Thanks tsyssa

The linkages looked ok when I got it down.
I have upgraded them to Pete Tindal’s ones when I built it.
I love the CA hinges they were all still attached to both surfaces.
(the leading edge of the elevator was all I had left on one side)
Oh and I never used the hanger 9 hinges I didn’t like them as they looked as could snap with lots of usage !
I use the great-planes CA hinges in all my planes.
In the down leg the plane just shook and the tail exploded and I landed with bits missing.
The flutter was violent enough to break the timber in the horizontal stab and the fin.

But hey never mind new parts will be here soon and she will fly again

Wow...that was violent...but flutter usually always is once past a certain point!

I agree, the GP hinges are way better than H9..the GP hinges seem to have some kind of plastic insert in the center where the stock h9 hinges do not.
