Yo topspeed, i just came across this thread, and was wondering if you need any more volcano parts tested. I'd be more than happy to take some time to fit and try out some parts

I'll let you know Mr. Cheeze..... we have 4 people with parts to convert to ball joint steering and we need more parts.
I'll keep you in mind if we need to test other things.

Mark

mark, just wondering what happened to the retrofit, any news on the missing parts? I wouldnt ask redcat support, he is just worried about the color of the aluminum parts, not the numbers or parts we need. i remember you asking him about the missing parts, did you ever get a reply??

Look, you guys had the parts before I did, and I'm still waiting on them. I can't very well reply if I don't know anything on the subject, now can I?

Hey Volcano,

We gave up on the aluminum steering arms and c-hubs. RCU members found that the pieces from the HPI MT2 fit with
different size bearings and a few different screws. That's what we sell on our site... here: http://www.topspeedtoys.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_8

This is the first time I hear of problems with the servo saver, not sure if aluminum would help here. If the servo saver does not flex or break then you will end up buying servos.

Negative on the crank case, we only have the internal moving parts as they commonly are prone to failure.

We will not attempt to produce clutch bells. There are clutch bells from HPI that fit both the single and 2 speeds found by RCU members here. Same with the gear boxes (i think you have to grind something off though).

Mark

Can I have some more info on that? I have a Volcano STX and the gears keep getting stripped. I need aluminium versions of the gears:

08014 - Diffirential gear wheel #4(19T) & #5(27T)
08015 - Diffirential gear wheel #3(25T)
08033 - Diffirential gear wheel #1(35T) & #2(17T)

Do they exist?

Hi RCar,

As far as I know, no one produces any of the gears in aluminum or steel.
