well as far as the servo and radio go i have never had a problem...but if you want to upgrade you might as well get the remote with servos....its better deal....and for the shocks...the threaded ones arent any better they are just easier to adjust preload...if you want better shocks.....look online for shock dampeners....there isnt really an upgraded shock or beefier shock made for this truck you have to custom make your own....if you want bigger ones try using 1/8 scale shocks but i dont know if you can get them to mount up

well the stock rear shocks are 100mm and the fronts are 90mm. i know the 100mm rear shock will work on the front... but i havnt had a larger shock to test on the back... im sue it would work tho? as far as the servo, arent the servos that come with the radio gonna be pretty much crap? i want a decent anout of power to throw my front wheels around.

well i just snaped the piston rod today on the stock motor...i have already put a piston and sleave in it before the rod snapped...should i have replaced the rod when i replaced piston and sleeve?since i didnt do you think that is the reason the rod eventually snapped?....is this motor rebuildable or should i scrap it and get a new 1?

it bolted right up, i used some shock pistons on the frt side of the shock tower. its holds pretty good, we swung the truck around tryin to rip the wing off, but it held fine.

oh yea, that is how i origionally planed to mount mine as well, but the hyper7 wing mount stood up too high and it looked dicky. i took mine for a bash on the weekend, and after landing on the wing a few times over jumps it held up real well, im happy with it

Hi everyone!

I see a few people recommend the OS 18 CV-RX (S) but Tower states it won't fit the GT2. I assume the Tower description is wrong?

Would the OS 18 CV-RX ABC be a better choice for the GT2 RS?

this motor http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP7&P=0
and this clutch nut http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBMD5&P=Z

and it'll drop right in .... i take it that your truck is a pull start .. if your running a bump start set up then it gets a bit more work to install ... but it will work the
(s) is short crank for the older associated's, the cvrx is the one ya want.

Couple questions about the older team rc10 gt

First, would it be an alright idea to put a .18 engine in it, because it's pretty quick with the stock .15, but I think I could get a lot more out of it. Also, what .18 is recommended for the best value, seeing as I don't have a large budget.

Second, is getting GPM parts acceptable? These are the aluminum parts if I am not mistaken.

Finally, are Road Hawg tires worth anything on any type of dirt, like hardpack?

yea pigboat, a 18 is killer fun the the GT! i would run the OS 18cvr in it
GPM parts are fine but aluminum isnt that great for bashing ... look into RPM parts they're indestructable and have a life time warranty
we run roadhawg's on our clay oval track
