thats funny i actually back ordered a firestorm because all ive had was hpi products but then cancelled to buy this because im going to start racing this year and everyone that races in the minnesota series said to buy the gt2 because it was race ready and noone knew what the firestorm would be like with the new motor and all.

they had the firstorm at the rc car kings. and ive seen a vid of the fire storm that i was real impressed with but was told at hub hobby that they were not going to stock parts or carry the fire storm, they said there is to many 1/10 2wd drive trucks on the market to make room for a shelf of parts. ive also been poking around and the xtm seems to be a real good back yard basher as well for a mere 200.00 with a.18 engine to. this hobby drains a guys wallet real fast. now i want to add some new tires and get the original gt body to.

I ran my new GT2 Sat night at my local track and I was very impressed with the handling!! I've had 4 Gt's over the years and this kit is by far the best design. The posi lock hubs work flawlessly. I put the basic set up on the truck and a couple things from Jared Tebos clay set up and the truck was very easy to drive. My only problem so far is not having the right tires for my local track. The clay is so hard that the only tire hooking up is a pink taper pin turned into a slick with trinity bomb one foams. So my truck is a little loose exiting corners sometimes. But other than that Congrats to Associated for designing a great truck!!!

This thread does not move so I thought I could get some posts going. Just thought is was interesting and thought I would see if anyone on the thread had seen it before.

they wont fit the kit version with the quick changing tires but they do fit on the RTR version.
the ones that come on the RTR are a bit diffferent then the older ones. the new ones have an inset lugnut design instead of the surface mound like the old ones.

the very first thing i did was put on new tires so ihad to get new rims and used the old gt rims no problem at all

also if your in a jam and your Local shop does not have some of the gt2 parts I am finding that ALOT of the B4 parts go right on with very little or no modification. heck i even used a rear hub carrier from the B4. worked like a charm.
