Anyone had a problem with wing alignment?

The wing on the left side of the picture has some issues.

here are some more

YES they are both bottom wings excecpt one just wont line up.

The one on the left side of the pic is 1.5 inches closer to the tail, so in other words to make it line up and look cosmetically correct some serious hacking would be involvled.

You can tell the left wing is built a little different by looking from center toward aileron.

Call or email Tom. He wants to know about stuff like this and will go out of his way to get you taken care of. Give him a chance to work with you.

Yeah, Ive already been over there once on another issue. He only lives 10min away. This has got to be the most problems Ive had with any bARF.

I'm leaving in the morning, I'll be on the other side of the world. The wife bought it in the first place so I will let her take care of it and will pull my gear out of it. She knows the issues and can call it. Whew, sure is a good thing we're not having to do a bunch of shipping.

The problem is obvious by just looking at the wing though.

On a positive note the 73"edge I bought was one of the best ARFs I have ever owned, Ive only owned 3 though. Absolute monster with a saito 1.80.

Dirtnapper,

Be careful where you are going, and have a safe return. I can see what you're talking about via the pics and a trip back to Tom's looks to be in order.

Wife called and said you were pretty upset with this post and that it was costing you sales. Sorry I made a post on it but wanted to see if anyone else had any issues or any fixes. I do appreciate you helping me out on this plane. You've just about changed out the whole kit with exception of the upper wing and tail now and I greatly appreciate it. I didnt mean to cause any harm by posting this and to not intend to bash your arf. However, there are some serious QC issues on my particular plane. The edge I bought was/is a great plane and would give it the highest overall ratings. The ultimate is another story. The first problem was a broke lower stinger (you exchanged). Second lower wing panels do not match nor do they fit (you exchanged). Third the sweep on the upper wing does not match the lower (I will fix by shiming the new lower wing set, will have to anyway to get a good fit)

Im sure this thing was built on a Friday afternoon by newbies or something, who knows. I did not in anyway desire to hurt your sales are reputation with the post.

Sorry

If anyone would like pics or ideas how to overcome any of these issues just send me an email. Im done with the post.

I can't blame you for asking questions. Some times I get so frustrated and desire an answer as soon as I can get it. I go online and seek the answer if I can not get a quick answer from a manufacture. Some people can have a hard time with this. I know when I am building a new plane I want to get it flying right away and I get really disapointed when I have an issue that needs to be corrected by a manufacture. (Hanger 9 for instance, don't get me started on them )

What's important here? Did you get your problem resolved? Looks like a resounding YES.
Did some people get there nose out of joint in regards to this matter? Yes, But some times that happens when people are not satisfied with a product.

Tom, good job on fixing the issue. Did this post cost you sales? In the short term maybe, in the long term how you treat your customers regarding issues will be what really effects sales. Since you do a good job on this matter I suspect you will continue to have a thriving business for some time to come

forum is titled wildhare RC ''suport''

I believe this just as good a place as any to discuss problems. If not the title should be changed and host should be dismissed.

Dennis I'm sorry buddy I'm in places were phones are less common than internet terminals. Like right at this very instant my cell would run 4.39 a minute. its far more secure to make this post on a board .

Yep I agree with the above. Makes it worse when your never home and when you do get those few moments something goes wrong and it sets you back a month. Hangar 9 oh yeah been there done that. Hopefully I get a month off soon and have time to play with my toy planes and the big boy planes.

WildHare support is top notch the whole post shows it.

I can't believe how sensitive people get over toy planes. Anyone else see this? I could go on the net and bash a $500,000 full scale aircraft and not hear a word. Factory may are may not acknowledge you. Except for aviat, which no one could equal. However those good ole boys in Kerville at Mooney are darn nice.

didn't want to make another post but had too in response. Nothing more about the arf.
