I travel to Atlanta alot, and have some friends that live in Douglasville, GA that I have gotten hooked on RC flying. I'd like to be able to start training them, and getting them hooked up with some local folks. Anyone got a good club around there?

Hi grippm,

The only club I know of in that area is the Douglas club. Contact DOUGLAS COUNTY AERO MODELERS CHRIS R MILLER 770-949-0742

I don't know what thier status is, but it's the only club I know of in the area. There are a few more in the Atlanta suburbs if they're willing to drive, but you should check this one out first.

I belong to two clubs in the south metro area. If you drive down I-75 near exit 216, You can fly at the Conley Fliers field.

OK then! Not sure what it was but I believe I got it fixed, so let me try again!

I have had trouble finding the Douglas club as well. We have found a forum for them but it seems to be dead in the water... or air in this case. We have seen where the field is and we have decided to stick to ours, the amenities seem to be better.

We prefer the one in Kennesaw/Acworth. It has separazte heli and plank fields, covered work benches for both sides, bathrooms ( real ones not porta potty ones), even soda machines!
There is also one near ATL but we ahve not seen that one yet, but it is easy to google it if you want to go there.
