It came sooner than I thought. $140CAD, shipping from China, extra blades and training kit included. That was cheap! I was gonna drop like $300 for a VNR3D. This is my first heli and have been praticing for weeks now on FMS. I somehow am not confident enough for lift off yet. All I can do now is oogle at it. I plan to order a li-po battery and the brushless kit. That'll be another $100+, almost the cost of the heli itself hehe. One day I will set it free.....

Hi k3nv,

I had my 22E 2 weeks ago and it's my 1st heli ever.
I was the other way around... as I got my heli before any doing any sim...
So I had crashed mine for about 3 times now.
I'm trying not to fly the actually 22E until I get some practice with the sim.
But I'm having trouble for setting the TX with the FMS.
Hope I can get it to work very soon.
Also, I have borrowed the XTR from a friend but the SW is in Dutch.
Couldn't get it to work neither...

By the way, I got the 11.1V 1200mAh 10C Lipo.
Just wanted to have more time to practice.
It's lighter than the origainl 9 cells pack.
But make sure you need to get the charger for the lipo battary as well.

Cheers.

Hey Guys I bought a counter rotatin Walkera and flew it as soon as the battery was charged up. Soon I was doing table landings, it did glitch once in the air and fell about two feet but did recover. I have never used a sim and fly almost every day now, it seems that you can not be shy with the power and don't move the sticks to fast. I even let a friends kid about ten fly it in the living room and he did pretty good but had a bouncy landing. Seaya

How long did the original batteries last compared to the li-po? I have a triton charger so I can charge li-po and nimh with it. I just need th eproper connnector for the 22e battery. I think I'll just cut up the one from the adapter.

I charged my battery and it became extremely hot. I put it on a timer for 2 hours or so and it was burning hot. I hope I didn't damage it. Oh well.

Here's pics of my 22e:

BTW, I made a cable for my 22e TX too. It is just a svideo connector and a 3.5mm mono headphone jack that I plug into my mic-in. It sort of works. Too much interference. It's kinda jumpy.

Yeah, I heard contra-rotating helis were easy to fly. I was gonna pick up a Blade CX but I wanted something that I can learn with. I think I'll get one anyway just so I can fly in the house.
