all you need is engine mount, an 18tz, a new manifold and an hpi evo rs4.
I"ve got one right now thats highly modified with an 18tz in there but never got around to breaking it in, I'm thinking of selling it but not sure yet. LMK if your interested in details.

"dude don't buy that 18tz, you need the rotary carb. i'm selling mine if your interested."
just curious why you said he needs a rotary carb instead of a slide
SLIDE CARB IS ALOT MORE EFFICENT THAN A ROTARY CARB
why would you say dont buy a slide??
hey Xstar, YES everything you have is perfect and I have the THS pipe, its AWESOME...also dont get a rotary carb get the O.S. w/ the slide carb
GOOD LUCK BRO~

to run a slide carb you need a new servo horn piece but it is only a few dollars.

Does anyone know of a slide carb that will install on the hpi .18ss engine? Have the rotary carb and I hate it. Cant get it to run right. Idles way fast and when you hit the brakes, the engine dies!

thats minor set up problems. first your idle trims are set to high and the idle screw is turned in to far. put the brake on and hold it and watch how the carb closes all the way with air filter off.

Looked at it again and it will not hold settings. It looks like the nut on the side of the carb is loose. Turned idle screw got it set right but when I hit the brakes it wont come back to original setting. Think I will have to make a trip to the LHS and see if one of their guys can get it for me.
