I ran the front oneway from an STR4 Pro2 in the SBV2, these need the plastic outdrive caps/covers to keep them together, otherwise they can snap.
A reason why i stripped the dogbone plastic caps was the spring in the diff outdrives seemed to deform and flatten letting the dogbone plastic end move around and completely strip..The other less powered SBV2 we have hasent had these problems yet?

Has anyone tried a Novak Velociti 4.5 or equivalent brushless setup in a V2? I am about to purchase a V2 and am going to drop my Velociti 4.5 in it! It should handle it well once the diffs get broke in.

Hey MRC. How about coming out with a 4wd stadium truck version of the SB V2. The market is Ripe to take on 4wd electric stadium trucks. The new battery and brushless technologies, the success of 1/8 nitro truggies, and the resurgence of the 4wd elec 1/10 buggies, all point to the success of the future electric class of 4wd 1/10 elec stadium trucks.... or "electric 1/10 truggies", as I know the market will love that term.

A truggie sounds interesting. By dropping your idea to the company itself? It might fly, ya never know???

People have done it with the V1. All you need is the parts from the Gas truck and you are pretty much set, the main issue was gearing on the V1 but should be much better on the V2.

I would like to see them get a new version of the Griffin out to add another player into the 2wd electric buggy market and a truck version too. Something race level, not just a toy.

What would really be good it to see them jump into 1/8 scale with an SB8 and an SB8-UT .

A new 2wd buggy is in the works, hopefully all out with carbonfibre chassis and top deck and a much stronger gearbox and steering.
Any suggestions on upgrades for more performance are being taken and considered by Academy.

To smooth out the diffs get a set of carbide diff balls. I used a set of 3/32 in. from associated. They are only .07 mm smaller than the stock diff balls (which measured in at 2.47 mm on my digital calipers). For the thrust balls, use carbide diff balls from the rc18t. I am using this setup and it works great. And I second a 4wd electric truck. You can't go wrong with trucks!

I like it
Who painted up that shell?
Only criticism is that there is no pic of the chassis

The onroad body was painted with PHOTOSHOP Its started our all red and is now the way you see it on screen. The offroad car was painted by someone over at PARMA. There is such limited room on the advertising banner, I thought flashy bodies would catch peoples eye, if they were really interested they would click and it would bring them to our site. Hope all is well everyone. Talk to you soon!!!!
