Dear All,

We have listened to you! We have improved and modified our Yak 102" both structurally and cosmetically. Following is the list of things that have been done.

Covering: After problems that we encountered in the second batch of our 102", our OEM has prepared the balsa surfaces to a better quality finish. Also new technique is used to apply the Ultra-cote. The overall quality of the film finish should be outstanding.

Landing Gear: Wider base, New resin therefore less flex.

Canopy: Canopy mounting system is improved. A pin attachment to the rear of the canopy/hatch is added to keep the canopy from vibrating. Canopy frame has been improved and a bead of silicone has been applied at the bottom of the canopy to the plywood. Canopy is tinted blue.

Hinge Slots: To insure minimum gap and full deflection capabilities, we have improved the shaping of the hinge joining area with a sharp V on both fixed and movable surfaces.

New shipment of our second generation Yak 102" will arrive on May 23rd. You can call us at (937) 629-0339 to order yours.

Thank you for being our customers and we make sure to provide you the customer service you deserve to get.

Hi Rezagh, Just saw your post. Will the new gear for the new 102" work on my 102"??? Mine was out of the last bach. I have gone though 3 CF props on mine. Also the tail wheel looks like it has de-laminated. I called last week and left a mesage but know one has call me back about the gear !! I'm going to call again to day and see if I can talk with some.

Jim

Could you post a photo of the changes to the canopy?

I added a bead of silicon where I (think) I was supposed to, but there is A LOT of vibration, and I would love to take steps to prevent problems - a photo of the silicon and the rear mount pin would be great.

Hi Jim,

Yes, it will work. Sorry for having to leave messages. Wayne's mother passed away last week and things weren't normal. Quique came back from SEFF and he's mostly working out of office getting ready for Nall. Please email me your phone number and full name. I will have Wayne contact you next week on Monday.

Hi Bob,

As for the canopy I will try to post pics by tomorrow.

Thank you for your questions,
Reza

Hi Bob,

Please find attached some pics of my canopy. It's for the 85" but I am showing where you need to apply the silicone. Please look where I am pointing with my balldriver along the edge of plywood and plastic part of canopy.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for waiting.

Reza

You guys should put on the web site "Two people needed to unbox" lol

First off, I haven't unboxed the wings yet - but the covering job on this is amazing. Has to be one of, if not the best covering jobs I've seen. The turtle deck looks like it was painted its so good.

The sillicone in the canopy is perfect - looks great! The bevels on the elevator seem great too. Overall, pretty much in awe

Here are some pics.

got mine today to!!!!!! man this thing looks great. i went over the covering and resealed all seams, no real problems there. i mocked it up and everything went together good. the wings went in very tight but should losen up after going in a few times. it feals light and looks soooooo goooood, can't wait to get it together. i'm taking the engine off of my 35% AM yak for this one but need to fly it the next two weekends first. by then i should have the QQ ready and just swap few things over.

shakes, keep us posted and let me know if there is anything you find that needs attention.
