So you must have Ni-MH charger with Dean plug for that battery, don't you?

Question: can I change the stock charger (wall charger) to have a Dean plug? In this way, if I change the stock battery to have dean plug, I can still charge it with the stock charger.

I just had to register here to clear a few things up, speaking from my personal experience.

I bought my Mini LST used in January, with a Mamba 5400 already installed. I ran it around for a month on 6 IB1200 cells, no cogging or burning, was actually a nice torquey motor, great acceleration. I then upgraded to a 6800, since I already had it. On the same 6cells, it was faster top end, little less low end, but really needed to be geared down (I was running a 24 tooth pinion).

Next I switched to the fun stuff, I purchased a second 5400, and added both esc and motor's, with 25 tooth pinions and a Apogee 1570 3cell pack. I used the Castle link to get the settings on both exactly where I wanted them, great stuff. Also, no motor's or esc's went up in flames. Next came dual 6800's, same effect, although I really wish I could have geared that up a little more. Even with the throttle curves set very conservatively it would flip from a 20 mph roll. Finally just for giggles, I added 2 8000's. That was just ridiculous, couldn't control it no matter what the settings. Very entertaining though, again, no esc's or motors died in this mayhem.

Recently I've ordered a Wraith, it should be here this week. I would like to get the truck back where it's actually drivable on all surfaces, rather than just up and down the parking lot due to the ridiculous speed and wheelie power. Although I'm sure in a month tmeptation will get the best of me...

BTW all this was done with a complete Monotuning kit, CAW axles and hex's, and 1/10th scale wheels and tires.

Another note, Shawn Palmer from Castle Creations did this quite awhile ago, and okayed it.

In summary, a Mamba can push a Mini Lst just fine, and is a nice upgrade over stock, just get some good cells, and more cells are always better than less. Also, two Mamba's are even more fun! And they don't "burn up". I find it hard to beleive I have "gotten lucky" so many different times, and for so long.

Lastly, here's a few pics.

How you think two of these would do in a mini lst? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMUP3&P=RF
And what about two of these... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLBZ4&P=7

Normally, yes, but people have been running the Reedy motors with good results. I haven't heard anything about the other ones.

Aren't the Trinity Cobalts 280's also?

I have been looking for brush and brushless motors that work good in the mini lst so I now what to get when I get my mini lst. Any way I have only found a couple brush 370 size motors, but they don't sound like they are the best choice for me. On page two of this thread Inverted suggested some brush motors and some of them were 280 size motors. Well my point is can the mini lst use 280 size motors?

My Mamba didn't overheat ever, except when I got a bad esc in a new set. I never took temp readings, just touch, but never too hot too touch.

Yes the Mini Lst can use 280 can motors, that's Mamba and Reedy size.

SECRET! But Im expecting a great setup. The objective is low matienence, affordability, and a great all around setup.

I own a Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra, great charger for the $$$. The stock charger takes about 8 hours to charge the stock battery.
