I am looking to get a mini lst. But I want to make sure that other 1/18 scale motors will work with the stock esc. Will two of these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJJG3&P=ML work with out the esc failing? Are there any other esc that can work with two motors? And what pinion/spur should I start with? And please suggest any motors that would work better. I do not want to go brushless. Thanks for any help.

They would work, but those arent exactly the best choices for a mini lst. You really want two micro mods such as the URC Krystal or Beast Raptor, or Trinity Cobalt. Dual Krystals work fine with the stock ESC.

OK, I looked for the motors you suggested but all I could find was this one http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLPV1&P=RF . Will two of these work with the stock esc? Were could I find the URC Krystal motors, I couldn't find them. Which would you think is the best at speed and acceleration.

17t is the lowest I know of that the ESC can handle.
The Krystal can be found at
www.unitedrc.com
The Raptor can be found in the one18th shop at
www.one18th.com

I have a few more questions. Why would the mini max motors I suggested first not be that good of a choice? And dose Trinity Cobalt motors come in 17 turn, I only found 16 turn and that wouldn't work, right?

The motors you posted wouldnt please you, you would be better off buying the Insanes then those. I went brushless, and its cost me less then a nice brushed system so Im happy.

OK, I think I am going with the Trinity Cobalt 16 turn motors or I am going brushless. What ESC should I get to use dual Cobalts? Thanks for the help.

To use dual cobalts you will have to get a no limit ESC such as one by Novak. That paired with the motors and your spending over $50 more then brushless.

Well that settles that, when I get my mini lst I am going brushless. This is what I have in mind http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHAH9&P=RF . What pinion/spur should I get? Will this fit right in, what else would I need? Is there a different system you would suggest?

I would NEVER run a mamba in the MLST, go to www.b-p-p.com and find a motor you like besides mamba. You want 370 or 380 size.
